I would prefer Pochettino take the Newcastle Job if they get top four. The players there have the right mentality and if properly funded I m interested to see how Pochettino builds them into a top team like he did Spurs. It will be an interesting project, but I doubt they will sack Howe if they get top 4.

It'll be a Manager with a short life span, it's a proper rebuild job at Spurs if Kane does want out in the Summer.

Don't worries, it is fine if you don't remember, a lot of fans on here are misinformed, that is why I try to inform them about a lot of football related matters. They were not leading and tuchel was so toxic to the team that Pochettino had to do a lot just to try and turn their season around. Even when you compare the stats that season, Pochettino had better win ratio when he took over. It was just that lille had an amazing season then and was very consistent which is uncanny for a French team outside of psg.

Now as far as 2nd season goes, i heard many complain that the football wasn't very good,, any truth to that? I hardly ever watch PSG so i wouldn't know, i just know they won the domestic trophies and thats that.
Obviously got knocked out in the R16 against RM, but those were odd games, dunno how much i would blame Poch for that.
They were not playing tiki taka but they were not playing football that resembles mourinho, big Sam or Conte either. His football was progressive and they had the most passes and possession across europe beside Manchester city when he was there. He was not able to implement his high pressing system either because of the front three he was forced to utilize, but he adapted to it and still played football that progressive. Another myth that some fans put at his tenure there.

Lowest win percentage. Couldn't be bothered to check before Emery, but the Manager before and after Poch have higher win percentages so clearly it wasn't the squads fault.
PSG winning trophies under Poch was a true miracle, I always love those huge underdog stories. I have Poch winning Ligue 1 with PSG on par with Leicester winning PL or maybe slightly higher.
PSG as a team is very mediocre, the only reason they are winning Ligue 1 it's because there isn't a consistent team who can't win 4 games in a row...whenever a consistent team appeared, and fought for the title, they lost the league (Monaco and Lille).

Depends. They have Nice next, who are draw masters and then Lens who are right behind them. 1 point from 6 and that is full blown crisis.
It isn't even fair on Tuchel because Ligue 1 had re-started before the final 8 even ended and PSG was fielding academy kids in some of these early league games due to COVID and injuries
Not fair… Tuchel lost difficult games in the restart with many players missing.
Pochettino bottled it by dropping too many easy/important points towards the end of that season. Like their first home loss to Nantes in 20 years and of course the most important one that he lost at home to Lille (when a draw would have been enough).
Lille lost 3 games all season. Paris lost 4 during Pochettino‘s 6 months… 1 draw in any of those four games would have been enough to win the title.

He wants to blame that title loss on Tuchel when Poch took over in the middle of the season 1 point off the top with 19 games left and he ended the season 1 point off the top. I’m not as well versed in PSG affairs but it’s been posted on this forum many times that there was a lot of chaos at the club early in the season and a host of injuries I think. Anyway, I’d say they’re probably equally at fault since they both coached PSG to 1 point off the pace in the half a season they each had but some people want to absolve Poch no matter what.
Not that dissimilar to Real Madrid 03/04. La liga was probably a much better level of relative competition than Ligue 1 is though. Hard to say exactly.

Many of my PSG fans friends have gone depressed basically. They say their team is souless and the club uses propaganda to quel any sort of protest (they pay off influencers).
When the only thing that persuades players to join is money, then you shouldn't be surprised about a soulless team.

Joining the best team in the best league with arguably one of the best managers in the world is not comparable to joining a Ligue 1 team if you're among the best players in the world.
