Whereas so many of our signings have felt the pressure and fallen to the level of their teammates, Martinez seems to thrive and bring his teammates up to his level. I am in love with this player right now.

Can't legislate for that type of stupidity from McTominay to give away a clean sheet, but it does feel like there is some panic in our box at set pieces due to the overall lack of presence in our team, something that may be exacerbated without Varane.

varane is cool and composed but Martinez has that vicious fighting streak to him which is what I love. They compliment each other very well.

It's looking to be one of the best Summer windows we have had, but Martinez is indeed making a huge claim as the best of the lot. Not discrediting the others either as I really rate them all (bar Dubravka who is of course a loan backup).
