What a hollow pointless parade without any tier 1 trophies ie CL or prem. I'm embarrassed for them.

Edit: ah they are taking old unparaded trophies also. A bit better.

They had one in 2015 when Jack Whilshere took the piss out of Spurs. They wouldn't have had one when they won the FA Cup in 2020 under Arteta due to covid.
 
You have to remember that Heysel to the Scousers is a bit like the Tianamen Square massacre to the CCP- it didn't really happen and if you mention it they'll throw you into a work camp (or in the case of Liverpool, they'll just make you do a day's work, the thought of which is horrifying to all true Scousers).
 
It’s only fair if they invite the refs from both domestic cup finals to this parade as well, knowing the crucial part they played in both games.
 
I wouldn’t have done it if it were me. Feels a bit small time. The woman's team are there who got promoted as well but still, I don’t see a domestic cup double as worthy of a parade unless you’re a West Ham or Wolves who don’t win things very often.

Maybe Klopp’s just trying to keep a positive mood but I’m not a fan.

This is why City only bother going down Deansgate. There’s more police than fans alongside the bus at the moment. It happens to us too when we set off from Old Trafford.
 
Yeah, having a parade for two domestic cups isn’t for me.

I can imagine some of the players aren’t exactly enjoying it either, particularly the day after losing the CL final.

The Double of FA Cup & Football League Cup been achieved Five Times: Arsenal (1992-93), Liverpool (2000-01), Chelsea (2006-07), Manchester City (2018-19) and Liverpool (2021-22).

Anyone know if there were open top bus parades for the others? I understand the Liverpool one previous a bit more because of the UEFA Cup.

That Liverpool one in 01 maybe? Given they won the UEFA Cup as well, I'd assume they had a bus for that.

Even if they weren’t they’d need to have them prepared well in advance. Probably tonnes of t shirts stall sellers with triple and quad tees in the bin as well
