Liverpool start every season +6 points thanks to Everton. Has there ever been a more one-sided derby?

They are playing today?
What Samid said. But I would give them more than 3+ GD.
Gonna enjoy quiet evening today. No visiting other forums..

The games at Goodison tend to be awful and 0-0 and then Liverpool batter them at Anfield. So it's more like a guaranteed 4 points at the very least.

Evertons record in the derby is absolutely fecking appalling and it's more annoying when you think how often they seem to raise their game against us.

Why does this fixture even need to be played? Just give Liverpool the customary +3 points and +3 goals in advance and save everyones' time.
To be fair most seasons it's a draw at Goodison Park and Liverpool win at Anfield. Last time Everton beat Liverpool at home was in 2010, away few seasons ago under Ancelotti (after 22 years).

Everton have one win at Anfield in nearly 25 years, and it was with no fans in the stadium.

They haven't beaten Liverpool at home for nearly 13 years.

It's just a staggeringly poor record.

Not counting today, this 'rivalry' over the last 12 years of PL fixtures.

Everton Wins: 1
Draws: 12
Liverpool Wins: 13
Goals: Liverpool 44 - Everton 19 (quick count, could be wrong)

What a useless excuse of a derby. Everton roll over every single year.

They also beat Liverpool only 3 times in PL under Moyes for 11 years + once in Fa Cup. Never at Anfield though Moyes is terrible at every big club ground, not only Anfield.

You can't say it's total disaster of a record with all those draws but you'd expect to beat you city rivals from time to time at Goodison, it's not like Liverpool have been on City's level over last decade, even though they obviously were superb in some seasons.

Everton raise their game against us more often than they do against Pool.
It's weird, they have done that against a lot of teams over the years but never against their biggest rivals. Cannot see it changing any time soon neither.

Newbies 15/16 FPL Champion.
Their Anfield record is apalling. Just reading their Reddit page and they're talking about how it was a free hit and they would have taken 3 out of Arsenal and Liverpool anyway. Harmless derby.

Really shocking when you consider United have regularly seen City off over the decade post Fergie.
Yet an occasional draw is the best Everton dream of.

I've heard that there isn't really animosity between these two clubs, and that they generally don't really care about each other or might even wish the other well due to being from Liverpool? Not sure how true that is but it would explain why their derbies are shite

An Everton fan on here a few months back was arguing against people who were suggesting this derby is one sided. He claimed it was a “myth”.

I actually refuted the claim it’s guaranteed 6 points. Plus someone who claimed it was the most one sided derby then posted a thing which showed that the Chelsea - Fulham derby was more so. :)

It’s more a guaranteed three points and then mixes between 3/4/6.

I was just going to post something similar. I think the shared Liverpudlian heritage mitigates the rivalry. Anyone who's lived and/or worked in Liverpool will know that it's a city where the pride runs deep for those who come from there.

Haha.. Chelsea/Fulham doesn’t count as a derby.

Yeah echo this. The atmosphere was good last night but it never feels like a ‘heated’ atmosphere when they face. Like it was on Sunday between us and Leeds, the Manchester, North London, second city derby etc where you can almost feel the venom in the crowd through your tv.

They should change the nickname from the Toffees to the puppies the way they constantly rollover.

One question, why doesn’t Chelsea - Fulham count as a derby?

Fulham beat Chelsea this season, so they've matched the number of derby wins in the last 10 years that Everton have managed despite being in the Championship for about half of it.

It's very annoying to see how utterly pathetic Everton are every year vs Liverpool and then they play Utd and suddenly they raise their game. They are often such a difficult game against us.

They say form goes out the window for Derby's, that certainly is the case for Everton. They literally just roll over for Liverpool.

We had problems with them in FA cup with Lampard at the helm while they were in a terrible state.

Away at Anfield though they roll over.

There is no rivalry, just so happens that Goodison is close to Anfield the same way a Next might be close to a TK Maxx on a trading estate. Wouldn't call that a rivalry.

Everton have beat Arsenal and held Man City. They also gave Utd a scare at OT in the FA cup. Feck knows what happens to them against Liverpool.

It's more an Everton at Anfield record. We haven't lost much to them at Goodison in the past decade but our record at Anfield is disgustingly bad.

Your record at Goodison is still shite though, surely the objective shouldn't just be to avoid defeat against them every year.

Not beat them at home for nearly 13 years!
