The next Kanté? Looks really impressive so far.
Uruguay isn't that poor.Amazing how Uruguay keeps producing these talents for such a small and poor nation.
We were not wrong.Quoting you on this now. Absolutely brilliant player, especially for that price. Release clauses seem to be the only way of getting talent for reasonable fees these days.
Generally players with perfect attitude that would do everything to win, they have a great footballing culture there. Probably the best out of any country.Uruguay usually have very good defensive players traditionally.
Better on the ball. Don’t think he is as good a destroyer. Overall think he can be equally as good. The next Kanté? Looks really impressive so far.
What this man said.Torreira’s game is too good to classify in the traditional DM or B2B sense. To me he really comes alive in transition.
His positioning when transitioning from offense to defense has simultaneously allowed Xhaka to play more freely and covered our backline. The stats for this don’t show up so well but he’s either cutting off passing lanes or marking players out of attack allowing time for the rest of our players to make it back into position.
Additionally when transitioning from defense to offense, he constantly shows in good position to receive passes and turn up the midfield. He generally makes good decisions in taking the ball upfield or making a line cutting pass.
His work rate has also been relentless which has made him an absolute favorite among Gooners. We absolutely love him.
Fernandinho?I always thought only Kanté is immune to a yellow card until today.
Both just dived their way out of pressure. Neither were impressive todayHe's bang average, Guendouzi looks like a class player though.
This. Loved Fellaini’s tugNow this guy has the mother of all punchable faces
Thought the same. Ghendouzi is good for his age but he got so many gifts from ref after overplaying tonight. Both just dived their way out of pressure. Neither were impressive today
I have seen him get yellow cards but he fails to get sent off.Fernandinho?
Yeah overall I think they're both good for young players. But judging purely today they were very lucky that the ref bought their professional wrestling sellingThought the same. Ghendouzi is good for his age but he got so many gifts from ref after overplaying tonight.
Yep, I counted five as well. Terrible ref for thatShould have been of about 5 times. Dirty cnut
I am very glad he's on our team. We lacked this kind of bite for a long time. He's a snide prick, but one that we'd love if he played for us.
Also surprisingly immune to bookings.
It's not that hard to imagine it. Tim Sherwood saying it, that is. He's an idiot. Can you imagine tim sherwood said dier is better than him?
Im a bit shocked we were not after him. A number of people on here stated quite firmly that he was a class. And would perform on a very high level regardless of destination.I’m a bit shocked by some of the comments here, I can’t quite get my head around them being about an Arsenal player.
Well to be fair he is a gooner, it’s to be expected. It's not that hard to imagine it. Tim Sherwood saying it, that is. He's an idiot.
He's yours now, you touched him lastWell to be fair he is a gooner, it’s to be expected.
I really wish we hadn’t .He's yours now, you touched him last
He looks like midget version of Herrera. Like many said he has mastered the art of escaping yellow cards though.
