Probably got annoyed with Chong, Laird and Gomes giving them the run around.Apparently he was upset at being told to train with the U23s so he responds by going off and training with Anderlecht U18s, makes sense.
You have something here, do we think he was actually trying to get to Italy to train, missed and ended up in Belgium?Maybe he missed the target again.
I think he's already in with the likes of Heinze and di Maria. If, like you say, he badmouths the club, he'll probably trump them.I feel he will badmouth the club in a big way. He'll go down as one of our more hated players after this is all said and done.
You would hope so! I think it’s also contingent on time spent at the club - so if you are still at the club after a certain date, you get a payment. Can someone explain the loyalty bonus to me? It sounds like it's contingent on not handing in a transfer request. Surely that can't be the only stipulation?
If you behave like this you shouldn't be entitled to a loyalty bonus.
Yep. He was never good enough. I was prepared to look past that though on the assumption he would do the business against the lesser clubs but he wasn't even that good against them.We never should have bought him
He was exactly like this at Everton. Always running his mouth and disrespecting them. Another reason I didn't want him here at that ridiculous price, and considering his lack of any technical ability. We never should have bought him
Then it's a joke and should be revised or done away with completely. If the club deems the player deserves something for their service then let them have the discretion to decide either way.You would hope so! I think it’s also contingent on time spent at the club - so if you are still at the club after a certain date, you get a payment.
Loyalty payments are a complete joke on football. Seems everyone gets in, bar Fellaini, who gave up £3-4m to join Utd.
If it was based on any sort of rational criteria, Lukuku wouldn’t get a single penny.
At least Tevez gave it his all whilst at Utd - he’s obviously not all there (and some of his actions towards Utd were seriously misjudged) but couldn’t fault his effort, even when he knew he was leaving. Lukuku has barely been a footballer for the past 8/9 months - he’s pathetic.Oh he'll almost certainly get a Tevez, Di Maria style welcome back if he ever returns to Old Trafford.
Local hero, free publicity, gives the local restaurants a nice boost. Why are Anderlecht accepting that he trains with their youngsters? To have a role model show them the ropes?
Show him as an example of how a bad first touch looks like? Why are Anderlecht accepting that he trains with their youngsters? To have a role model show them the ropes?
Or maybe his first touch is as erratic on booking websites than it is on the pitch. You have something here, do we think he was actually trying to get to Italy to train, missed and ended up in Belgium?
I thought if a player doesn’t hand in a transfer request, he was entitled to around 10% of the transfer fee? That’s why clubs would rather the players submit a written transfer request, so they have a legal piece of paper waiving their claim to the 10%? Or am I completely off base here? Can someone explain the loyalty bonus to me? It sounds like it's contingent on not handing in a transfer request. Surely that can't be the only stipulation?

It'd be like mortars going off on Omaha Beach.Show him as an example of how a bad first touch looks like?
Why have you formed such a damning view of Bruno? If we sell Lukaku I can’t see us bringing in a replacement. We don’t have time.
As for Bruno I don’t see that now, and I would rather see Lingard than James which is a rather damning indictment
Yeah I've always liked Lukaka (the man, not the player,) but he's looking like quite the hypocrite at the moment. It's funny though he did an interview last year telling his team mates unhappy with having to deal with an utter cnut in Mourinho who was clearly trying to get the sack and was in self sabotage mode that they should "deal with it, you're a grown-ass man deal with it".
And now he's fallen out with a manager and his way of "dealing with it" is to go AWOL and try and force through a move.
What a crybaby hypocrite.
I don't know. Just seems an odd way of applying something termed a loyalty bonus. Would love to see how footballers' contracts are constructed.I thought if a player doesn’t hand in a transfer request, he was entitled to around 10% of the transfer fee? I thought loyalty payments were triggered if a player stayed past a certain date stipulated in their contract? Isn’t that why Neymar waited for a few days to collect his loyalty payment from Barca and then went to PSG? Barca took him to court over it didn’t they? The case is still ongoing.
No, it's simply the loyalty bonuses or it can be named and packaged differently. The sum is negotiated between both parties when the contract is created and paid during the length of the contract.I thought if a player doesn’t hand in a transfer request, he was entitled to around 10% of the transfer fee? To show the youngster, that there’s still hope, even if you can’t actially trap a ball. Just talk yourself up, and some gullible club will buy you!Show him as an example of how a bad first touch looks like?
Do they still teach basic footballing skills in the under 18s or is it already mostly tactical training based on performing in matches? Why are Anderlecht accepting that he trains with their youngsters? To have a role model show them the ropes?
Who are we getting in as a part ex on this one?Tweet

Just money I guess.Who are we getting in as a part ex on this one?
Probably Zanetti, knowing our club.Who are we getting in as a part ex on this one?
To be fair, adding Zanetti to our executive board could be a great move.Probably Zanetti, knowing our club.
My understanding is that a loyalty bonus is in nearly all players contracts, and lets say a player signs a 5 year deal then 20% will be paid of the agreed bonus at the end of each season. So if the club sells without the player submitting the request they owe him the outstanding balance as it wasn’t officially his decision to leave.I thought if a player doesn’t hand in a transfer request, he was entitled to around 10% of the transfer fee? None of the parties involved want this scenario - we don’t want him around, even if he’s training with the kids (aside from the significant health and safety issues - he’s likely to try and eat someone small like Gomes).Good thing he has 3 years on his contract.. he can stay in the reserves without pay if he doesnt want to train.. dont think he'll have a case with the CAS either.
Tranfers arent getting cheaper.. we'll still get the money we want for him in 12 months time.
It's actually not true, if we officially and continuously ask him to train with the reserve and play him in less than 10% of the games played then he can terminate his contract with sporting just cause.Good thing he has 3 years on his contract.. he can stay in the reserves without pay if he doesnt want to train.. dont think he'll have a case with the CAS either.
