Big Ben Foster
Correctly predicted Portugal to win Euro 2016
Would the one-sided media portrayal have been the same if it wasn't a foreign owner sacking a British manager? Don't think so.

At this rate he'll be President of FIFA within the week.

Cheers guys.
He'd fit in well in Russia. Zenit fans would love him. There's a big difference here. They're players, and their crimes don't really affect their relationship directly with teammates anyway, though i'm sure there will be some animosity. Mackay being racist makes it very difficult for him to every effectively manage a team again, how can he garner the respect of players now?
Am I alone in thinking that when Tan said the British press is a bit racist, that maybe xenophobic might have been a better word to use?Interesting to re-watch this interview with Tan, done a few months after sacking Mackay.
True.Would the one-sided media portrayal have been the same if it wasn't a foreign owner sacking a British manager? Don't think so.
For a club like Cardiff its important imo, you can't spend 8 million on a striker that scores no goals or overspend your budget. Tan came across very well in that interview imo, and if all that has come out about Malky Makay is true, then he was right in his judgement to sack Mackay. Although he could have used a different word, they all mean the same thing though.Am I alone in thinking that when Tan said the British press is a bit racist, that maybe xenophobic might have been a better word to use?
Geez even Tan talks of value for money hahah
I was being facetious with the value for money thing. I agree Tan came across well in the interview though. For a club like Cardiff its important imo, you can't spend 8 million on a striker that scores no goals or overspend your budget. At the time the issue was Mackay was thought to have done very well at the club and the supporters didn't want him sacked.. the media will always play to the crowd, good for sales/ratings.Would the one-sided media portrayal have been the same if it wasn't a foreign owner sacking a British manager? To be fair you know, he doesn't sound like a prick. He actually sounds quite intelligent and comes across well.Interesting to re-watch this interview with Tan, done a few months after sacking Mackay.
Since the Palace stuff? It was blatant from the off really, the way he schmoozed the media and used them to break the sacking threat to get them on side before Tan could even do anything. In hindsight the way Tan way portrayed worked out well for Mackay. He wasn't doing particularly well at the club anyway and he pretty much "got off" with any criticism people gave because of Tan. The press had their target and they didn't let up on Tan, in the meantime Mackay didn't get any criticism levelled at him. There's been some rumours since this Palace link that Mackay was hardly an angel himself and didn't exactly help things.
I wonder what Cardiff fans are thinking about this now? The fuss they made when MacKay was sacked.Totally exonerates Tan now. Wow, what a scumbag.
Fair enough if you called it when he got sacked, I'd suggest you were in a minority that did. The majority of people felt sorry for him and were baffled Ole would go there.Since the Palace stuff? That is jaw droppingly disgusting.Just seen this now- been in an interview. The Tel is listing the dodgy jokes.

Look at the tweet a few posts up.Surely Ian Moody's job must be under threat at Palace as well?
Well I would say I was baffled that Ole went there, because it seemed like a difficult place to manage. I did think Malky played the media and that there was more to the sacking than met the eye, or I thought breaking the designated transfer budget was reason enough to sack him anyway.Fair enough if you called it when he got sacked, I'd suggest you were in a minority that did. He'd be lucky to get a job for a few years after this, if he does it will be the lower leagues and working his way up. A Premier League club won't touch him at the moment.
Sounds like the guy lived on sikipedia. That is jaw droppingly disgusting.
Thanks. Serve him right.Look at the tweet a few posts up.
