How many more preseason games are we playing after this one? We are probably going to see two different teams each half again.

The club confirmed that the Atletico match will be full strength and fringe players will play the following day.

Hopefully Garner will be available. I have been looking forward to see what he can do under Ten Hag, have a feeling he is a player that will fit in well in a possession based system.

Looks like we will be playing against their reserves.

Slightly bizarre to be playing the likes of Palace in Australia.

Villa in Perth, then Atletico in Norway, then I think Rayo Vallecano at OT?
Those last 2 will be interesting because the Atletico game is on Saturday and the RV game is on Sunday.

Expecting the game against RC will be purely reserves.

I'd imagine Ten Hag will continue to play a full strength side then rotate, but I'd quite like to see more of a blended squad.

First half;

Heaton
Dalot - Maguire - Bailly - Malacia
Garner - Fred
Sancho - Bruno - Hannibal
Amad

Second;

Heaton
AWB - Lindelof - Telles - Shaw
McTominay - Zidane
Pellistri - Donny - Rashford
Martial

I want to see Donny with some of the senior players to see whether he has a chance. Also for Hannibal to get some minutes.

Would they be daft enough to tour Australia if they had that many anti-vaxxers?
It is a bit strange, my brother works for Palace and thats the reason. They weren't able to get in the country due to their vaccine status.

I think we need a statement win today lads!

So often last season we struggled against the lesser teams (as well as the good teams lol) but Palace is actually the kind of team we need to be able to get back to battering.

Third game into pre season now so both teams will have a reasonable amount of fitness and tactical preparation.

Main things I’m looking out for today is a better defensive performance if Maguire plays (I know, pigs might fly), Martial to keep his form up, and more epic stuff from Savage x Zidane.

Will be interesting to see if De Gea is ready to go again today or if they play it safe.

I think I'll work up as much of a sweat watching this as the players themselves
