    With Rooney so deep, it kinda reeks of bullshit we're playing with one up top against Palace at home. We had all the ball, they had the best chance from one long ball. Funny if it wasn't so fecking stupid. Need to get players in the box and put some quality in the box

    Falcao heard his chant, we'll break the rules and sub him on and he'll score 6.

    Playing as a winger for united ATM is VERY different than playing as one for either Benfica or Madrid. We have no creativity in midfield and just give the ball to the winger Di Maria/Januzaj and expect them to produce magic whilst usually up against 2 if not 3 defenders. Its just plain stupid.
    I know what you mean, but then LvG is not doing his job. Playing a £60M signing as a winger who's best position is central midfield.

    You dont?

    Hey! Why are you on the redcafe during halftime? Get your shit together man. Beat your fullback
    Check the Zombie passing thread if you think we had free-flowing football under Fergie these last few years. We haven't had that consistently since 07/08.

    Not really. I mean we're slightly better squadwise having spent £150m on quality players like Di Maria and Herrea but we're just as bad as last season. I could count on one hand how many good games we've played this season. Our results have been even worse than last season but don't worry, there's a obvious improvement, can't you see? I mean can't you see the philosphy already being put in action. Whatever you do, don't question LvG on here though.

    The LVG philosophical crap is even worse than our football. People laugh at Rodgers, Kompany et al for spouting shite to get the crowd behind them, but LVG beats both hands down. I wouldn't blame him for cock ups in defense because we don't have 4 fit defenders at any one point in time, let alone a stable back 4. But lack of ideas with 75% possession against the second worst defense in the league, at OT, should raise question marks. 13 points from 10 games? Nevermind, we'll be OK in three years.

    On with Herrera, off with Adnan and back to the diamond.

    ..Fellaini...Di Maria

    Januzaj doesnt look for the pass nowadays. He wants to shoot first and that can be really frustrating for the attackers.

    Knock-knock-knock the ball around from our half to their box. Dwell about, then dwell about some more, lose the ball. They clear, we win it back. Over and over. Only time something looked like happening was when Shaw just charged straight on. We are trying to hard to be patient for an opening. Just freaking force our way into their box and ruffle them up a bit for god's sake.
    You miss the part where they get the ball, counter attack, and we start p'n ourselves. All in all though your summary is totally right. We look terrible. Shades of the home game we lost last season against Newcastle.

    Right Carrick's passing seems to slow us down even more. I would place Carrick in the back and move Blind into midfield, bring Herrera on for either Januzaj or Fellaini and move Di Maria back into midfield and I think we might see a better performance. Knowing our luck, LVG will bring on Wilson the 65th minute for RVP hoping to score a screamer to win this one.

    Offensiv its not working. Rooney, Rvp Is not even inn the game. Rooneys shot and RvP dribbling was embarrassing to see. Di Maria is really just trying to take on everyone and nobody is helping him. He looks lost and LvG looks to not really tell what want him to do. Adnan too static. Not getting around and create chances. Carrick to slow. Fellaini to slow. We are slow.

    We miss Blind in CM. He moves the ball so much quicker than Carrick.

    Blind gets it and moves it on straight away. Carrick always takes a bit longer.
    Move Carrick to CB and Blind back to midfield, then get Herrera and Mata and even Wilson to give us a bit of threat.

    Herrera and Mata for Januzaj and Fellaini, quite obviously. Wilson later. Switching Carrick and Blind would be nice, as well. How hard it is to be a football manager, really?

    This, ADM is the angel here, they both have been terrible and they have added nothing since West Brom.
    Might be something to do with him playing in a very unsettled team. We're on the right track but the horrendous injuries have left Van Gaal with a selection problem for every game.

    Switch the formation to a diamond and Di Maria would be a lot more influential, simple.

    We also have to contemplate that there is some degree of compensation for the awol defence. Louis must be wary of conceding given we have McNair and Blind at the back.

    Mata is not the problem after all, is he? We play shite without him as well as shite with him. Bring him on and try again.

    United is flat and playing with fear of loosing.
    No confidence with the ball and cannot find the killer pass.
    Time to bring on the skillful players.
    Mata for Januzaj, Herera for Mcnair.
    Move Carrick back to defence and play 4-3-3.
    De Gea;
    Valencia; Carrick; Blind; Shaw;
    Herrera; Felliani; Mata;
    De Maria, Van Persie; Rooney.

    TBH he can also play on the wing, just ask Germany. The problem is the team as a whole and YES it is LvGs fault.

    I don't think LVG knows what his best system or lineup is. And it's funny because I and quite a lot on here know what it is.
    Yeah, it looks like we're still experimenting. Such a shame because we desperately need some consistency.

    I for one am beginning to question his tactical nous.

    Is he really a tactical genius or is he the manager of man utd?

    Janujaz should be a number 10 and nothing else. He just keeps putting him on the wing and Janujaz keeps flopping.

    Di Maria is ineffective on the wing. At least put him back centrally so we can see whether it is position or form

    Di Maria is still, STILL, taking corners.

    Is van Gaal an idiot? Or is he just too stubborn to change things

    Don't even mind the break if we're gonna be playing like this.

    ADM's corners, Rooney in midfield, ADM on the wing, RVP isolated up front. Wtf is LVG trying to accomplish there ?
    I don't know whether it is stubbornness or he sees something we don't, but the previous formation with Di Maria, Herrera,Blind in midfield was working a lot better for us.
