Someone needs to resign after this. They can’t all be happy to accept a wage while embarrassing the club?

Without De Gea. It’d be another 5 nil. Chastening defeat again. Ole is truely tactically clueless.

The entire team seems to be so hesitant on the ball. Alot of ball watching. It is as if they don't know what they are supposed to be doing.

For the second goal, our defenders made it look like City are playing PES on beginner setting.

Shaw is sleeping again and weak. All I see is punch of cowards for sorry. Ole what again he is trying to do here?
Shaw has regressed to his burger and chips form under Mourinho. He needs a rocket but Ole is just too nice

You have to hand it to Pep.

He gets De Bruyne, Bernardo, Foden, Jesus and co to press, harass, and run like demons. Look how they stop every counter-attack we have. Just the absolute numbers! Walker dropping into DM, or Cancelo, and it just cuts the counter right at the half-way line.

    There's levels to this thing.

Oh, Ole. Please board, do the right thing.

1st half the story of United season, not difficult to score against or beat by gifting goals to the opposition.

Bailly set the ball rolling with an OG for City, 1-0 behind at half time opportunity to reset things.. No let's give another gift to City, what the hell was Shaw, Maguire and Degea at for that 2nd goal, it was worse that school boy defending.

This is no different from when Mourinho came in first and we played city with Ibra. City just toying with us. Miles better than us tactically wise. You would swear it is still Mourinho out there.

Dont understand why people are upset here, look at the team sheet. How many of our players can get into city team?

That is your answer and on top of that coward manager with out any proper coaching staff, I am not suprised to be honest

ruined my weekend, frustrating to be honest...

De Gea should do better but that ignores that nobody stopped the cross and Shaw let the ball go. If you allow a shot on your keeper you're asking for trouble.

I know DDG has a few saves in him but I think he's a problem for us. I really would play Henderson. Dave is just not proactive enough. Really needs to be on the bench!
Sure we would be down by 6 instead of 2 then. Great idea.

Can honestly say I've never heard Robbie Mustoe so bordering on withering.

Rashford and Donny on for Greenwood n McTommy, both of them have been passengers. Then maybe Ole can resign after the game, as this is a team that are petrified of the opposition, it’s shameful.

This is the biggest halftime talk of Ole's life. Hopefully a more fired up United in the second half.

    Newcastle
    Leeds
    Spurs (Spurs were dreadful)

How is that anywhere near acceptable?

Pogba needs to be doing more. If McFred was playing the team would be more defensively solid.

There was boo-ing at half time, I'm told.

There was but then a lot of united fans tried to drown that out.

I'd love to know if they really believe cheering United is going to turn this around ?

Such a strange game. Looks like the players aren't happy with the setup.

We need to change manager they've given up.

Ole is being exposed yet again as way out of his league managing a big club. We look like a pub team vs one of the best teams when it comes to organization and game intelligence yet again. Who ever decided to protect ole from being fired after the Liverpool humiliation should be removed from their position. This club is run by complete football incompetence at all levels and they are turning one of the biggest english cultural icons into a joke.

I have long stopped blaming players for individual mistakes. They don't happen with this frequency by chance. Players will make mistakes when they are playing under pressure and don't know what to do.

Playing all season with a back 4, then changing to a back 3 with a week's notice before playing the best team in the league/world will do that. Not one of our players looks like they know where to be on the pitch.
I agree 100%, this match is a testimony of Ole's cluelessness. The formation never makes the performance, it takes so much more than that.
352 worked once vs Spurs and this naivety to think it will work against City is abysmal coaching

Cue Matic at half time I guess
That's the usual sub isn't it?

Old man Matic on to hack down the opposition
The clown on after that (thankfully he's banned)
then a 88th minute useless sub

Conte would have challenged for the title this season with our defence, dontcha know.
I really don't care what your defense is. If your team has to chase and defend close to its box time after time looking like second best, they WILL make mistakes. Watching this and focusing on the individual mistakes is like that old Chinese saying about the finger and the moon.

It's poor from DDG, but that goal is on Shaw for me. Lazy defending from him

This is equally as bad or worse than the Liverpool game. We haven't made progress and there's a strong argument to say that we've gone further backwards.

It's clear to see that it's over with Ole, but the club are just waiting it out at this point. We're wasting time before making an inevitable change. Ironically, a bit like Ole's subs.

Shaw fecked over De Gea there. He’s been really poor this season after all the Shawberto Carlos performances at the Euros.

The players’ confidence is so low right now, only a change of management could change that.
