knee jerk reaction. your club spent ages chasing the guy and he's on big money. they'd look like fools if they got rid of him that quickly rather than give him time to build the squad he wants. do what we do and keep him for a few years to really destroy it only for a legend to return and raise you from the ashes
Reacting like that after 10 losses in 16 is anything but knee jerk.

Spoofin' along just nicely!

Seriously, he's a massive fraud. I don't get why he isn't subjected to more serious criticism in the media/from pundits.

I said it when he left Watford. He's a fraud. You only have to Look at his record with previous clubs to see that he has been hyped up with very little to go on, spending roughly only a season at each club in his coaching career, to somehow ending up getting a job in the PL at hull who he relegated, and then the Watford-Everton debacle was ridiculous. He was only at Watford for a few months before getting his head turned by Everton and here he is stinking the place up, looking miserable on the sidelines and seemingly leading Everton to mid table. I think he has major character flaws in that he has no charisma or passion and it is evidently rubbing off. The Everton fans are booing the team at every opportunity, and even though Farhad Moshiri has backed Silva for the future, there must be a u-turn eventually so long as results are as poor as they currently are.

10 losses in our last 16. Zouma sent off after the game too for arguing with the ref. There becomes a point when enough is enough and it's amazing that our board came out and said we would stick with him after that run.
The dreaded vote of confidence usually means the sack is near.. This guy isn't good enough for you guys.

Give it to Ferguson until the end of the season while you look for a new manager.

The time thing only works if you have someone with the ability to do a good job in the first place. I can't see it with this manager. Too many flaws in his coaching.

That tweet emits the context. The reason he's said that is because of Klopp saying we treat the game like a World Cup Final.

Hahaha, spoofin' all the place still, good to see!
Bloke is a gigantic fraud. I'm loving it though, my Evertonian mate refuses to say a bad word about anything Everton-related until it no longer becomes Everton-related. He even claimed he was happy with Rooney until Rooney left, then he admitted it was a waste time. Once SIlva leaves, he'll speak the truth about this spoofer, but right now he claims he's a good manager. He quite simply isn't.

Big improvement lately from him. He seems to have finally got some defensive organisation into that Everton side. Impressive win today.

Can europa still go down to 7th now? 1 point off that position now (says more for the mediocrity below the big 6).

All he needed to do was drop Walcott. A player who should be moving to MLS as his next career step.

I've given him some stick on here but he's adapted their style to the qualities of their squad. Calvert-Lewin is really good at playing like a traditional number 9, winning headers and holding the ball up and then they have great set piece takers in Siguardson and Digne. He's adopted a pragmatic old school British slide to arrest their slide. Ironically, a style a bit like Big Sam's.

Everton are currently in europa.

It's been a really wierd season from them but ultimately they play in europe next year and Silva will have met the main objective when he signed.

They will have won that mini league just below the top 6 so it would realistically be as good as they could hope for.

Yes all true, it will just be the way they've got to the final destination as they had that terrible run for close to three months from December.

Have to say of course they need adjustments in their 11 but what they've been putting out in last few weeks is a very balanced 11. Gana and Gomes in midfield so have creativity and destruction and the three behind the striker is Richarlison, Glyfi and Bernard which also has plenty of creativity. They've also finally replaced Baines with how well Digne has done.

Said it loads of times but Everton's problem isn't talent, it's mentality.

Very True but that is the case with quite a few teams, Manchester United included.
To win consistently in the prem a nucleus of "winners" is needed.

Took 10 points from Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and United without conceding a goal in their last four home games.

Not bad for a fraud who can’t coach a defence.

he was struggling to find a first XI, but with DCL up top, Richarlison on the right and Walcott on the bench their record has improved massively

Home results before the good run:

Everton 1-1 Newcastle
Everton 2-2 Watford
Everton 2-6 Spurs
Everton 0-1 Leicester
Everton 2-0 Bournemouth
Everton 0-2 Man. City
Everton 1-3 Wolves

I do wonder how they'd have done if Pickford had just tipped the ball over the bar at Anfield so they got a 0-0 as that game pretty much killed them for three months.

Could well have seriously been challenging 5th and 6th.

I have to admit I thought that Silva would have been sacked by now, especially with Everton’s recent short-termism, his fairly underwhelming start, and the fact that once again a team under his watching was conceding goals from set pieces for fun.

But his recent results and team’s performances at home to the big clubs recently have been hugely impressive.

Everton more than any other club in the country need to go all out to try and win a domestic cup next season, and should even consider resting players in league matches leading up to cup games if necessary. They haven’t been in serious relegation danger since the 2003/2004 season, and haven’t won a trophy since 1995, so the cups should be their priority. 6 early exits out of 6 in the domestic cups over the last 3 seasons is disastrous for the senior and most entrenched members of the Premier League’s ‘no man’s land’.

Would be above us and chelsea, which means they would be 5th and like a point off top 4 or something. Not even joking.

New manager taking time to settling down - never heard about it.

Still think he is a fraud?

They thrashed us and Chelsea, beat arsenal and got beat by a very last minute goal against liverpool.
