The only reason he is our "most dangerous" attacker is because his head goes down and he just fecking tries 80 step overs before a shot or a last ditch cutback when he realizes that he has reached the end of the pitch

If he's going to jog around off the ball and refuse to pass except from the goal line, he needs to actually score a fecking goal.

Has two moves, hold on to the ball for too long and smash it with all his strenght. Don't think we can ever be a team that dominates games with Rashford starting.

Good chance at the 1-1, makes the wrong decision and shoots the ball wide of the goal and in the next attack Brighton score the 2-0. Terrible.

Infuriatingly selfish. Only looks for teammates when he runs out of space. He looks to return it back to Hojlund early in the second half and we are level, instead goes for glory.

Like Bruno too much of an individual player. Shocking decision making on show today which isn't exactly uncommon with him. Not convinced he has the ability to play in a fluid system.
Exactly. Our two "stars" are pure counterattack/ individual moments players. That's the ginormous fecking elephant in the room

Needs benching until he learns to pass and, more importantly, learns to work hard off the ball. Don't care how dangerous he is and the fact he is our best attacking player.

It's hard to criticise Rashford because he's the difference maker for us so often. Greedy and selfish today though. Minutes after he hits the side netting, instead of squaring to Hojlund, Brighton went 2-0 up. Those are the differences I will remember from today.

He wants to shoot on sight like a typical no.9 but doesn't want to play in the position of a no.9

So you end up with a CF on the LW who would rather score than pass/create.

Which only makes the job of the actual CF more difficult.

Very selfish and one dimensional today.

Good going forward, but not nearly good enough to make up for how much of a liability he is in defense/press. He is essentially a traffic cone that players only have to go through the motions to play around. Everything dangerous the first 60 minutes came through the right side due to breakdowns largely from his lack of consistent effort. He needs to be scoring 40-50 goals per season to make that trade off worth it and he is nowhere near that. Contrast it to Hojlund on the right of our front two and it was night and day.

Ten Hag needs to grow a pair and sub him if he can't play both ways for 90 minutes. You can't get away with defensive passengers in modern football.

I've said this before, but all he sees when we walks onto the pitch is 21 opposition players.

Would be twice as good as Messi if he was half as good as he thought he was.

That thread about us going nowhere with Bruno in the team ; add Rashford's name there.

Høijlund should really have had 3 goals today and McT should have one as well if only Rashford would pass the ball. Needed taking off around the 60th minute when he just stopped working off the ball. If we go 2 up top again then he needs to be on the bench because at least Martial will pass the ball.

He personifies us as a team. Great moments of skill and dribbling but can't/won't do the simple things or work hard.

Twice early on he could've passed to players wide open in good positions but he didn't, either due to selfishness or not looking up. His pressing, when he's arsed, is also brainless. He doesn't make angles that make it difficult for defenders. Pointless pressing.

Be nice if Rashford realises that it's okay to slide in a full back and let him cross it. Just show him Brighton's goals today and hopefully he sees you can score goals like that.

He's an absolute passenger. If the club had been as smart as us fans on here we wouldn't have had to deal with this trainwreck, now we're stuck with him.

A serious club like Real or Bayern would bin him for his laziness and selfish attitude.

Hes bought into the hype of being our star player and thinks he can swan around like he's Mbappe

He was the difference maker defensively though as well. Brighton had absolutely no trouble playing through their right side all day because he is a traffic cone. If you are going to be that lazy in defense, then you better bag 2 or 3 goals and assists and he didn't.

Other than the offside goal, has he created anything for his team mates today?

This is not a leading player for a Premier League contender. Ability wise he is, but attitude not befitting of the shirt.

We need to move on from both Rashford and Bruno. We need better players in their positions. Yes, we have worse players. But the two of them cause us the most amount of possession turn overs.
Will never be a consistent team with them.

An absolutely selfish prick today. A total hindrance to the attack. Should be dropped.

If he puts away a chance or actually makes a correct decision we might win this game. It changes everything with a goal but unfortunately 33 league goals in 3 years is the standard we should be happy with. He is dangerous sure but he’s far too selfish most of the time. Brighton had like 5 good chances and scored 3 of them. Rashford had several good chances and done nothing with all of them.

I'm starting to believe more and more that he shouldn't be looked at as a main character. He has quality but he is playing as dumb as it gets. Too much Bruno influence, just like him Dalot, way too much energy wasted at moaning and whinging. Should have been hooked after 50minutes but due to his 30 goals last season, this seems to be impossible...

Absolutely abject, brutal display. Would be dropped from a club like City in a heartbeat.

The amount of times he doesn’t wrap his foot around the ball and hits the side netting. Does so well in some aspects but awful in others. Some very obvious passes on in the first 15 mins that he completely missed cause his head was down.

I probably enjoy watching him about 10% of the time, the rest is spent wondering why he's a footballer when he's got a face like a slapped arse and doesn't seem to have any enthusiasm or fun when playing.

Every team in the league has a player that's as dangerous on the ball as him
Many teams have players that are either smarter or much better off the ball than him or both. We'll never be able to press decent sides when he's one of our front attackers pressing.

You need to watch him closely before their first goal. He was literally walking around playing bodyguard to the Brighton players, absolute embarrassment out there.

I admire his ability to have a go and take things on. But, it's a fecking team game. He's playing solo.

Very frustrating, needs to be less selfish and pick players in better positions when there are options.

He was unacceptably selfish today, on 2/3 occasions he had either Hojlund or McT free for near tap ins if he had just got his head up.
