I go with that team as well. Will be great to have Rooney and Giggs back in this.

I think we need to see Anderson, the lad has a lot of fight about him - he was making some promising runs yesterday lets see him get a couple of games under his belt now because now it's the time for him to cement his position for awhile.

----------------VDS-----------------

Rafael---- Smalling---- Vidic---- Fabio

Valencia-- Gibson- Anderson- Giggs -Nani

------------Rooney---------------------

This is the team I hope to see against Newcastle.

Carrick - needs a rest badly, especially with Scholesy now out and Fletch not back for another 10 days, he needs to sit
Evra - give him a break
Rio - Don't want to strain him
Hernandez - Rest, he'll be playing a lot the rest of the season(let him come off the bench if needed)
Berba - I don't know...he doesn't need a rest, but whatever
Spot on every single word.

I want Berbatov and Carrick to start to ensure that their confidence levels are maintained after today (I'd rather see Rooney and Hernandez up top against Everton too, pace to counter their more physical centre backs)
Carrick SHOULD be first choice in that central midfield, but WHY Berbatov? He had the rest of the match yesterday to do something.

It is clear that if SAF plays two up front the preferred choice is Rooney and Chicharito. There are too few games now to mess around with rotation. If we play with one up, it's Rooney.

The ONLY reason Berbatov would play is if SAF thinks Newcastle is an easy win - at OT maybe, but not at Newcastle.

So you want SAF to play Berbatov so that his confidence is not shot???

United could spend £85million on David De Gea, Phi
Im amazed some people are even contemplating 'resting' players for this, unbelievable really, Tuesday night is a huge game especially after yesterday any dropped points and we bring Arsenal right back into it.

Thankfully Sir alex has said as much and his team selection will represent the fact its a major must win game, thank christ some of you aint the manager!

Tuesday evening sees Alan Pardew attempt to become the first Newcastle manager to oversee a victory against Sir Alex Ferguson, since Sir Bobby Robson's men triumphed by the odd goal in seven at SJP in September 2001.

From that fixture, both Steve Harper and Shola Ameobi remain at Gallowgate - although both players were only unused substitutes ten years ago.

Since that victory, The Magpies have gone seventeen league and cup games without victory against the side from Old Trafford, drawing three and losing fourteen.

Damn wish we had Scholes. He loves to score against Newcastle. He said that himself once. I still the remember the hat-trick he scored against them.

Newcastle have been poor at home this year. they are without kevin nolan, and their forwards are useless. I say comfortable 2-0 win for us. Rooney getting both goals

"When you take three massive players out of the heart of your team, it is going to be to the detriment of the team," he said.

"To be without Kevin Nolan and Cheick Tiote was massive for us - but losing Shola overnight was one too many.

"Suspensions and injuries are killing us. We knew we had a small squad and that's why last week (against Wolves) was a massive result."

Newcastle have just over a week to rest and recuperate before they host Manchester United next Tuesday, for which they will welcome back at least Nolan and Tiote.

The Premier League leaders have a UEFA Champions League clash against Chelsea and an FA Cup semi-final against derby rivals City to contend with before then.

This is always a difficult place to go, but they've got nothing to play for now and we should be able to get a win, which would be hugely valuable.
