I was watching this and gave up towards the end of season 1 as i thought it was pretty poor fare. Was told to watch keep going to Season's 2 & 3 so i've just skipped forward and watched the episode with the little horse and the fairground.

Is that as good as it gets or is that a poor episode for Season 3?

If you didn't really enjoy that episode, I don't think you should spent your time watching too many episodes.

It's also a pointless way to judge it because one of the best things about the show is recurring jokes and how the show builds up the characters throughout. You're missing a lot if you skip 30 or so episodes.

I don't remember recurring jokes being a huge part of the show (not like in Archer or AD for example), but definitely the way the characters are built to be all quite heart warming is a cornerstone of how the show works, definitely. I don't think I'd have enjoyed a random episode in a middle of a season like that. It's worth giving it a try from the beginning of season 2 for a few episodes. If you don't like it then, you might as well give up.

Well even the first episode of season two with the gay penguins is great. I was hooked from then on.

Recurring jokes was probably the wrong thing to say, more like recurring cameos and plots, like Tammy, Jean Ralphio, Lil Sebastian etc.

A few of my mates started from season 2 episode 1. You might not love it straight away but it should atleast be an enjoyable and easy watch. Then season 3 it steps up.

First one was alright, didn't really find it funny but it was enjoyable which is the main thing.

Enjoyed episode 2 more.

Yeah agree with you, 2nd was much better. The first one wasn't as good, despite that excellent cameo at the end. Only idiots like Cina would think it's better.

I agree with Cina that it's the right time to end it. It's reached that stage where the characters start becoming parodies of themselves. Still very watchable of course, but not nearly as fresh or original as it used to be.

My name is Burt Macklin.

And I'm with the f**king FBI.

This show is so great. Also will be a joy to watch back I think, because just like with The Office there are so many great jokes packed into 20 minutes, you will always find some stuff you missed or hidden gems years later doing a rewatch.

I forgot the last season had started, but I just finished the first two episodes and this looks very good. With shows like this one they should do a last season much sooner, so they can go full tillt. Then take one or two years off for he actors's other interests, reunite, and make another two or three seasons, after which they they can go all out again.

*Edit: apparently it's "Bert", damnit Macklin you son of a b*tch, you've don it again.

ZX was Sinclair......so mostly a UK think I believe, highly doubt it was a big deal in America except for specialists or die hards at the time. We've still got a Sinclair around somewhere, should have a little toy around with it for no reason whatsoever.

That was great.

I loved the "If things went well" museum or whatever it was. "The Wire wins at The Emmys"

The GoT reference was fun except for the spoilers.

Overall, I don't know why but I feel the episodes are a bit 'forced', the argument between Ron and Leslie didn't seem believable and the resolution was, in the end, just too easy. And the side story of April trying to find something she loves is a bit boring. Not to mention Ben has become a sidenote and that I fear they're going to bring Screamy back.

It's still enjoyable but it's good they're ending it now.
