We will soon take those neighbours down too! Long way to go. Let's win 100% of our games and hope they drop 12 .

Of course there's more to stats but those are quite interesting. I think a huge step closer would be to get rashford to the next levelFeel free to show me your core United/City teams
As for your other statement.
Sterling 15 goals, 3 assists.
Jesus 10 goals, 2 assists.
Sane 8 goals, 10 assists.
Total: 33 goals and 15 assists.
Lukaku 14 goals, 4 assists.
Rashford 9 goals, 6 assists.
Martial 8 goals, 6 assists.
Total: 31 goals and 16 assists.
Yup, only City can get the best out of their young forwards.

Oh, so just trophies that City have won, right? Which is many as United and Jose. So, I guess we're both equal.Ok. Let me qualify it further, the competitions that we all know count which I'm sure you know anyway. SAF success wasn't based on winning the league cup or CS. Also winning the FA wasn't enough to save LVG either.
We won 2 titles last season and we can still win all 4 this season. Each to their own but my attitude to winning games is to go on to potentially win something at the end of it. Sorry but we are so far away from City and some of the other teams in Europe, it's untrue. Can anyone really argue that yet again, we still need 4-5 world class signings? If we've progressed that much, we are we still in the same position? Id argue it's as much about the lack of progress by other teams, as much it's to do with anything else....
Yes. If ypu get your head out from your posterior and get behind your team. Doesn't mean you're right, but there's an argument to be made for it and we are the ones who should be making it...Can we really say "with confidence" that we're better than the current champions? A side that have beaten us already this season, were worthy of the win, and are currently on the same points as us?
Nah, not goals and assists. Add Lingard (6G and 4A) and Pogba (3G and 6A) and you can quite clearly see that Jose has these guys contributing at levels we haven't seen before.Of course there's more to stats but those are quite interesting. Agree we have won more trophies in 2017 so we are better than City no doubt! They have had a lucky spell now, but we will soon get past them!Because this is how I rate things — I don't force you to agree with me. The recent months show a lot, but when I assess a general quality of the teams I like to use a bigger scale.
Seems to be the way but I think the more realistic and positive posters should reclaim the forum! Hate city? Go for it, this isn't the fecking United Nations.Nah, not goals and assists. It's just that Jose isn't bald, Red isn't Blue and Old Trafford isn't empty. So, we can't acknowledge these stats.
You've to ask yourself how many are in contention to be first choice with us first. Also it's more complex than that, for example Delph wouldn't get near our team, and nor would Moses, but they do a good job at city and Chelsea. I see your point but results and performances are a better comparison than looking at individual players. Chelsea are very close to us but for me, this season, we shade it as they've looked more vulnerableAsk yourself would the likes of Lindelöf, Fellaini, Mata, Lingard, Young, Ibrahimovic, and maybe even Herrera, be in contention in at Chelsea?
Pathetic snide waste of time of post, base upon your own unenlightend reading of what's been said in the thread. But , by all means, carry onShould we make tentative arrangements for an open top bus tour of the city to mark this achievement?
I guess so but I'd trade all the trophies together to win the Prem. City have won nothing as yet so we will see....Oh, so just trophies that City have won, right? Which is many as United and Jose. So, I guess we're both equal.
Another person who is reading what they want to read in the OP.Should we make tentative arrangements for an open top bus tour of the city to mark this achievement?
I also think this is wrong. There's no way City will ever replicate a season like this
To you maybe not, but I think when Utd talk about success, it's based on PL and CL. The rest are insignificant unless you are having a crap season elsewhere. Most teams will play a weakened team for the cup comps anyway....Please feel free to read your quote I bolded. It does not make any sense.
Can't tell for sure, but I think it's incredibly unlikely we Weill see a team win 16 from 17 opening games.I also think this is wrong.
We simply can't tell.
I think we are in the stage that we need 95+ points to win the league.
The bar has been raised.
Yes and the difference is 11-14 fecking points without approaching Christmas yet. Thats the core for you. Preaching for Zlatan to stay fit, while Jesus is letting Kun rest on the bench. City are better, City have an identity, their players are on lower wages and they can afford to buy anyone that they want, yet they manage to get KdB play much better than Miki and Matic. Who bought younger players, Pep did. Sterling-the flop-is all of a sudden doing better than Martial. Who is the main reason for all this, it is Pep and Jose. Who is doing the better job, quite clearly Pep. Do I see anything suggesting that Jose will get an upper hand over the baldie? No. How many transfer seasons has Mou had at his disposal already? He has lost his first season with Utd to Conte, and his second to Pep very very early. His third season will be the last with United, and I am less optimistic about it than a season before.Feel free to show me your core United/City teams

Don't forget, he got bested by Pep in two European cup finals, so basically Ferguson was total shit really /sFootball fans are the least rational people in the world, they see things in black and white, and when reality doesnt match this black and white thinking they will do anything to justify their outlook.
Just remember that their were countless fans that would bad mouth SAF despite him being the greatest manager of all time, he was the main reason why we are a top club in the modern game but fans would question his managerial ability whenever he had a bad run of results or didnt win the league.
Might not be from the opening game but they could easily do it mid-season, which still has the same effect. Can't tell for sure, but I think it's incredibly unlikely we Weill see a team win 16 from 17 opening games.
We also finished behind them in the league.Agree we have won more trophies in 2017 so we are better than City no doubt! They have had a lucky spell now, but we will soon get past them!
Form go up and down and should we not rate it? City got great form right now so hard to argue against them.
Abaolutely. We have all done the gracious "fair play to pep" rubbish.Seems to be the way but I think the more realistic and positive posters should reclaim the forum! Hate city? Go for it, this isn't the fecking United Nations.
These goddamn rags!I keep seeing these pro United threads pop up. They have no place on a City forum.
The fact that I have actually seen people question SAF's superiority on this form whilst purporting to be United fans is an utter disgrace.Don't forget, he got bested by Pep in two European cup finals, so basically Ferguson was total shit really /s

Yeah those two statements just don't work together , if you say with confidence that United are better than Chelsea at this point then your head is quite clearly right up your own arse @SAFicusYes. If you get your head out from your posterior and get behind your team. Doesn't mean you're right, but there's an argument to be made for it and we are the ones who should be making it...
So glad the op made this thread. About time a few proper United fans were posting on the caf this season.
There are many anti-united thread in the cafe, go and comment there if you have so much problem with people saying we have made progress. We have been 1st/2nd since the start of the season so nothing wrong in saying so far we have been the second best team. How petty of you!
Pleased to be second but this thread is embarrassing. Especially because we’ve got a tricky game today and are currently level on points with Chelsea so things could change quickly.
