The club is broken from top to bottom.Easy. We should just sack Ole and we'll be good, right?
It was very obvious what the plan was for this season. The worst part for me was I could see this coming with the transfers we did Not do.
Tell me about it.Fred is an enigma. Where is Fred? Does he actually exist? If he isn't ready yet then god help us if some of the lot playing today actually are.
Yeah that’s what we should do! Worked wonders for us over the years! It was very obvious what the plan was for this season.
Spend as little as possible (net spend of £66M, I think it is), while attempting make top 4.
Ole won't kick up a fuss as he is grateful for the opportunity.
If the manager fails - fire him and hit the reset button.
I think he makes a lot of mistakes. If we are playing well he will likely be fine, but under pressure he is a problem. We are a mess.Tell me about it.
The only reason I'd go for him there is that the alternatives are Pereira, Matic & Garner, as far as I can tell. Surely he can offer more than that competition.
Yep. Really bad planning all round. At some point when we were chasing, I wanted Ole to sub in someone else in attack. But then I realised we hardly have any option.
Going into a season (with Europa as well) with our bare-bones squad is going to end up being a huge disaster.
Apologies for singling you out mate cos I've seen loads of comments like this, but I just don't believe the sentence in bold is true. Have any of our previous managers won 3 games in 15? This is worse than anything that has gone before (in terms of results), by a significant margin.Solsjkaer will probably get the blame, and he's by no means perfect.
But if he goes we will continue to see results like this with the same key players making mistakes for whoever replaces him.
Pogba was by far our best player today. Not sure how anyone says anything different.Emotions. Keep your emotions. If you are going crazy because of one game then you are going to have though season. As "older" supporter I've learned to handle wins and loses with calm.
Today, we were far better, but lost. Unlucky. Last season many of you wanted attacking football and thats what you have. Today we lost trying to win the game. Instead of taking easy at 1-1 our players did exactly what most of you (that are now negative) want. To go for the win. That punished us. 3 points lost.
I accept that you all call for Solskjaer to axe Lingaard. I would like to see Mata in that role myself. But our "stars" Rashford, Lindelöf and Pogba was very poor today. And it's not first time that Rashford, Pogba and Lindelöf are that bad.
True. We need to work on that.Their goals came out of nothing really, i agree. Just like against Wolves we are restricting them to very few chances. And thats good!
But we really struggle to move the ball fast enough in midfield, with good enough accuracy. And because of that we create very few clear cut chances. Our possesion and the feeling of us controlling the game means very little if we can't find ways to score consitently against teams that defend deep.
Waste of space - James was out best player. Lingard was useless, martial non entity.Pogba was by far our best player today. Not sure how anyone says anything different.
James are best player? I guess you rate players on whether they score or not. You do know that without Pogba winning the ball from Zaha, the goal doesn't happen. Pogba made about 20 nice passes that no one else on the team neither has the skill nor creativity to do.Waste of space - James was out best player. Lingard was useless, martial non entity.
He made no mistakes whereas pogba made a lot and did sod all else. The pogba love in on here is bizarre.James are best player? I guess you rate players on whether they score or not. Today Pogba probably was the best player but he still wasn't very good. Of course he is capable of making better passes than dogshit championship standard passers like MacT and Lingard but losing possession 20 times a game in your own half like Pogba does is absolutely unacceptable for a midfielder.James are best player? If we get outplayed, if the game plan is bad and fecks up on his part, if a negative becomes a clear trend, etc.. There are plenty of reasons to criticize the manager. I've always been of the opinion that individual mistakes costing you in a game you dominated and created more than enough is never on the manager. The manager doesn't tell the goalkeeper to feck up. The manager's planning doesn't tell Lindelof to fail winning a routine header against fecking Schlupp. The manager doesn't tell Pogba last week to miss a pen (which would've given us a deserved win last week) and then Rashford this week. Or it doesn't tell the ref or VAR ref to feck up 2 pretty blatant decisions which would've changed plenty. So the only way Ole gets the blame is if we create nothing .
So every manager can say they never told the players to play shite . It's not three games either, is it.If we get outplayed, if the game plan is bad and fecks up on his part, if a negative becomes a clear trend, etc.. Things I criticize Ole for last week can be his reaction to Wolves equalizing, waiting too long for subs, not anticipating the rebound from Wolves at half time, or this week failing to get them going after the initial feck up gifted Palace a goal and we then struggled massively before half time. Not instilling enough urgency in the team or importance on bouncing back right away (we almost concede the goal and try the patient route of "it's not the end of the world, the chances will come" instead of pushing a lot harder to get that equalizer instantly).
Basically, people coming in and complaining about the manager after 3 games in the season are pointing at the wrong things. I highly doubt Ole planned on going into the season with no midfield reinforcements, but it is what it is. The signings we did manage to get in look like they'll be excellent long term signings, and we are definitely trying to play the right way and one that suits our club a lot more than what the previous manages tried. So I'm happy enough so far.
One of those games. Onwards and upwards. We’ll still finish 3rd in my opinion
I'm not sure it's worth it to look to last seasons results.Apologies for singling you out mate cos I've seen loads of comments like this, but I just don't believe the sentence in bold is true. New season, fresh start. I tend to have some lenience on managers who take over half way through a season when the previous regime was a disaster. And a bit different when players play shite vs when they miss pens in consecutive games and the goalkeeper fecks up a routine save.So every manager can say they never told the players to play shite . I know you're still butthurt about Mourinho getting sacked and even more so now that you're pal Lukaku got sold, but let's be objective here eh?
Objective? Objective is the atrocious record since he was made permanent manager. I don't give a flying feck if he used to play for us.New season, fresh start. Should’ve kept Moyes for 6 seasons then.Yeah that’s what we should do! Worked wonders for us over the years!
You genuinely don't think any other manager could have got better results than 3 wins in 15?! That is relegation form, and I very much doubt that any other top club would keep a manager on after a run like that.I'm not sure it's worth it to look to last seasons results.
We were fecked all season, and the confidence couldn't be lower.
This seasons start has been average, but not massively different to other seasons.
United have been (bar mourinhos second season) consistently average post Sir Alex retiring.
I don't think it matters who we bring as manager, so long as we continue to chop and change the style of play and have no plans long term for the side.
