Imagine we have to play them in the EL again
I often say to my mate that we look like a team assembled in the pub an hour before kick off. Solskjaer has done feck all to change that.Even without Bruno, we already knew our football had no real structure. We play like the team has been assembled a week ago which makes what you said valid. It's easier to start for a team with zero planning during the season
As has repeatedly been said, while every manager needs time to meet the eventual objectives in terms of results and the team the club wants to see put together, that doesn't mean a manager doesn't to prove himself to be good enough until said time is completed. It's an ongoing process wherein you have to prove yourself worthy of bei afforded that time. It's why we didn't actually give David Moyes 7 years. And precisely why Ole doesn't deserve more than 1.5. And why Pep, Klopp, *any other quality manager* is given longer. For example when you look at City lineup, only Aguero and David Silva are the only that have been since he took over.
And Henderson and Firminho? Only two players before Klopp took over.
Last summer United still had Smalling, Jones, De Gea, Young, Lingard and Valencia just left, all those were squad players Except De Gea under SAF 7 years ago! How can United be a top club again if owners and board are just happy about that! Or last good right winger was Nani, he left 5 or 6 years ago. Are fans really surprised we so shit ? Ed and the board love to over pay every players aswell since SAF and Gill left.
Ole or next managers needs 2-4 years to build something. Even longer if it’s impossible to buy more than one quality player in each window.
Exactly.I often say to my mate that we look like a team assembled in the pub an hour before kick off. Solskjaer has done feck all to change that.
Please no. Their fans are honestly the worst. If I have to hear that Mourinho’s right, your fans are shite chant, in that horrific brummie accent, one more time.Imagine we have to play them in the EL again
The worst chant is "Your not famous anymore"...... It's like the fans are 12-year-olds. Wolves are definitely our bogey side now. Please no. Their fans are honestly the worst. If I have to hear that Mourinho’s right, your fans are shite chant, in that horrific brummie accent, one more time.
Plus their brand of football is terrible. Must be how City and Liverpool feel when they play us.
I do agree with part of that but not wholly.Despite this being an indisputable fact, so many of our fanbase either don't get it or refuse to accept it. After the summer window, we all knew this season would be difficult, inconsistent and frustrating. And yet when that happens, some of our fans embarrass themselves with toys out of the pram. Its very frustrating.
The "Manchester United' we knew was wasted away by Moyes, LVG and Mourinho. We aren't that club anymore, it has to be rebuild and that will take as long if not more time than it took SAF all those years ago.
OGS may not be the right man, but I can't see anyone else coming in and magically compete at the 90point level required to win this league right now.
Yes it’s a bit rich coming from someone like me who no longer goes to games but the match going fans are the front line, there needs to be a unified response to the shit way the club is being run but it seems that the apathy has really taken hold and Although I hate to use them cnuts as an example I really don’t think it would happen at somewhere like Anfield or the London stadium or St James’ park I think their reaction to what appears to me as a really poorly run club would be a lot more vociferous than what we get at Old Trafford, I think maybe the fans are divided, I admit I had reservations about the talk of walking out on the 58th minute, it didn’t seem right to me.So tired of reading this shit. Go follow Liverpol then ffs. Why should i have to read your whining?
Tought game vs a team that has had 10 days of. Meanwhile we have had our hands full. And people are throwing the team under the bus. Get out.
It was a week between his loan being finalized and him making his debut... and as a forward, compared to Bruno at center-mid.As others have said, this is an interesting point. Now it makes me wonder how long did it take for Larsson to start when we picked him up on loan back in 2007?
I think most fans accept a rebuild is required, OGS is just the wrong man to do it. Don’t understand why it’s even a debate, only won in Norway, and sacked for almost getting Cardiff relegated twice in a row. His coaching/game management is next to non-existent. We can slag off the quality of the team all we want, but there are better managers available who will get more out of these players.I do agree with part of that but not wholly.
On the plus side, he has moved on most (but not all) the so called dead wood.
And his transfer policy seems sensible apart from the awful striker shortage.
But. His primary limitation is in his tactical capacity.
He may well understand where things are not working. But he seems incapable of making the necessary changes to rectify them.
His in game management is not good enough and like many, I am really concerned with the standard of coaching.
So. The question is whether he is going to improve United sufficiently to make us competitive again.
Or is this going to be our level.
Yes. Completely agree.I think most fans accept a rebuild is required, OGS is just the wrong man to do it. Don’t understand why it’s even a debate, only won in Norway, and sacked for almost getting Cardiff relegated twice in a row. His coaching/game management is next to non-existent. I still think it will be Poch in the summer.I think most fans accept a rebuild is required, OGS is just the wrong man to do it. I'm tired of the commentators regurgitating the same lines when it comes to Wolves too. fecking hate themPlease no. Their fans are honestly the worst. If I have to hear that Mourinho’s right, your fans are shite chant, in that horrific brummie accent, one more time.

No pattern of play, poor in game tactics, unable to influence a game when its not going well. Subs are always too late, poor team selections to begin with.Wow a whole thread of football geniuses saying Ole is shit without saying why.
Do people SERIOUSLY have to explain why?Wow a whole thread of football geniuses saying Ole is shit without saying why.
What will he do different? He had exactly the same problems with Tottenham.I still think it will be Poch in the summer.
Please god no. It's not because I'm scared we'd lose, its the simple fact the games are so painfully boring. I'd rather watch a group of snails race.Imagine we have to play them in the EL again
we need to change from being a counter attacking side. Fernandes could be the missing link when all the players are back from injury. I really have hope in winning the Europa League when we get McTominay and Pogba back and hope Ighalo knocks in the goals for us.Do people SERIOUSLY have to explain why?
His game management is rubbish.
Most of the time he sits on the bench looking clueless while most managers stand up for most of the game encouraging their players and making tactical changes.
Our style of play is awful. To be fair, that has been the case for most of Post-Fergie era. It is clear though that Ole isn't doing anything to change that.
His transfer policy is better than LVG and Mourinho's, but Ole has left us short of strikers upfront.
It's also the managers job to MOTOVATE. We can all see there is not enough movement from the forwards, so it is up to him to change that on the training ground and oversee the coaching. What will he do different? He had exactly the same problems with Tottenham.
i don’t understand some of the posts in this thread. We had more passes in their final third than they had all game. What more is a manager supposed to do than set the team up like that? That is the point where it is over to the players. There where severely lack of movement up front, but I’m sure they are extremely tired after two month’s of playing two or three games every week. There is no time to do training, and you you can’t change anything from the bench.
I mean, what sub would change anything?
Pretty hopeless situation for both managing and squad..
would love to see Poch turn a footballer out of pereira other Lingard. But it is never going to happen.
Yet we beat City twice this year who have the best coach in the world? We also are the only team to take points of Liverpool who have the greatest coach to ever grace the game?I often say to my mate that we look like a team assembled in the pub an hour before kick off. Solskjaer has done feck all to change that.
You've got to be kidding? They did nothing, again. We are at the same level with 3 of our best players missing. The quality of football between us and Wolves was pretty scary. They are only a couple of signings from being a top 3 team. 60% of their team would walk into our team, that's how far we have fallen....
You know pep inherited Sterling and De Bruyne as well as Silva and Aguero don't you?For example when you look at City lineup, only Aguero and David Silva are the only that have been since he took over.
And Henderson and Firminho? Only two players before Klopp took over.

Why couldnt Pep MOTIVATE Joe Hart to be able to play the ball out from the back?? Why did he go out and buy 2 goal keepers to replace him? He id the greatest coach in the world after all? It's also the managers job to MOTOVATE. We can all see there is not enough movement from the forwards, so it is up to him to change that on the training ground and oversee the coaching.
And Spurs and Arsenal are both below us would you have expected that at the start of the season when Lukaku Sanchez and Herrera left with no replacements brought in ?You could give Ole 20 years.
We'd still sit in the same boat we sit in now.
Time isn't given. It's earned.
Sheffield United are above us.
This is how I feel about things tbh....What will he do different? He had exactly the same problems with Tottenham.

The entire coaching staff with Ole should be binned in the summer.
I don't want any of them to remain.
Yes we beat City twice this year, once which was irrelevant since they destroyed us at Old Trafford in the first leg. We also got humiliated by the likes of Burnley and can't score a goal most of the games.Yet we beat City twice this year who have the best coach in the world? We also are the only team to take points of Liverpool who have the greatest coach to ever grace the game?
Im glad our board have a deeper understanding of football than some of the posters on here.
Ole can blamed for stuff like making 2 subs at the 87th min in a must win game. He cannot be blamed for certain things but there are more enough things that he's responsible forWhy couldnt Pep MOTIVATE Joe Hart to be able to play the ball out from the back?? Why did he go out and buy 2 goal keepers to replace him? He id the greatest coach in the world after all?
Or maybe players do have a ceiling and you actually need good recruitment to improve a team, something this club has not had for 15 years. You cant blame Ole for thst.
Yes. I’m also sure the likes of McClaren and Quirez under SAF’s guidance are light years ahead of Carrick and co.I do agree with part of that but not wholly.
On the plus side, he has moved on most (but not all) the so called dead wood.
And his transfer policy seems sensible apart from the awful striker shortage.

Training ground? We haven’t had a proper training session for months. My opinion he has done a top job motivating. Players have given their all. And I’m pretty sure after seeing how Ole reacted to Lingard they have intructions. The thing managers usually say, get it together or you won’t play. Can’t do that, can he? Ffs, we are so skin we are actually missing Matic. It's also the managers job to MOTOVATE. We can all see there is not enough movement from the forwards, so it is up to him to change that on the training ground and oversee the coaching.
Maguire is beginning to look good, AWB can defend, but not attack, going against the United mould of FB and James looks like he has been found out and should be an impact sub. So jury still out. They didn't want Fernandes and now decide to buy him.And Spurs and Arsenal are both below us would you have expected that at the start of the season when Lukaku Sanchez and Herrera left with no replacements brought in ?
Give the man time all his guys have been good when was the last time you could say that about a United manager ?
You need other people to tell you why Ole is shit? Isn't it obvious?Wow a whole thread of football geniuses saying Ole is shit without saying why.
I think this reflects where we are currently. All this Ole in and out shite is a bit too playground for my liking. As ever, it’s far more nuanced than a lot of the posts lately are making it out to be. I’d love it if people thought first before posting “we’re shite” or “worst club in the league “, “pub team”, “banter FC” etc. It’s all hyperbolic nonsense.Yes it’s a bit rich coming from someone like me who no longer goes to games but the match going fans are the front line, there needs to be a unified response to the shit way the club is being run but it seems that the apathy has really taken hold and Although I hate to use them cnuts as an example I really don’t think it would happen at somewhere like Anfield or the London stadium or St James’ park I think their reaction to what appears to me as a really poorly run club would be a lot more vociferous than what we get at Old Trafford, I think maybe the fans are divided, I admit I had reservations about the talk of walking out on the 58th minute, it didn’t seem right to me.
I’m not throwing the team or Ole under the bus, we’re down to the bare bones, I get why you can’t pull out an exiting performance, that’s not what I was referring to but the way the team is playing with the players we have, some of whom are dead on their feet is down to the poor way this club is being run in my opinion and that’s the crux here isn’t it, it’s just my opinion so no, you don’t have to read my “whining” and no I won’t “get out” whatever the feck that means.
You can have Pogba, Fernandes and Fred in the middle or whoever you think is best 3 but if you get no movement from your forwards you won't get any result. It's the managers job to sort this out, even with who he has. We just need more movement from them.Training ground? We haven’t had a proper training session for months. My opinion he has done a top job motivating. Players have given their all. And I’m pretty sure after seeing how Ole reacted to Lingard they have intructions. The thing managers usually say, get it together or you won’t play. Can’t do that, can he? Ffs, we are so skin we are actually missing Matic.
This is basically true....so gutted about Haaland but what can you do...!?Predictable result/performance
Absolutely no goals in that front three. Daniel James doesn't have the ability to score goals. Martial couldn't be arsed if he scores a goal or not, and Mata is completely past it!
Our frontline is still nowhere near good enough.
