Genuine kudos to Burnley for storming the not-top-six table this year but it shows up the current state of the league. 13 teams ranging from poor to absolute dross sit beneath them.

Finishing in the top half should be a major achievement for them, not a walk in the park.

Both defences are a bit shambolic today at Selhurst Park. Expecting more goals - come on Brighton

A win this weekend and we could have been confirmed for Champions League.

It should only be a matter of time, but would still have been nice to think Champions League secured with 5 games to go, especially after several years of it not being so straight forward.

Very small to no chance that Chelsea can catch Liverpool. Would rather see Chelsea with a billionaire owner struggling even more.
Chelsea have about a 5% chance of getting top 4.

Plus Liverpool are winning the CL so won't need top 4 anyway.
Totally irrelevant when we get 'confirmed' CL. Whether it happens next week or the week after really doesn't matter.

Chelsea struggling in the league will only help Pool because they will rest players for the CL knowing top 4 is secure. As it stands if Chelsea beat Pool at home the gap will only be 4 points so they can't afford to rest players for CL.

Jeff Stelling has just said Mike Dean has come out with the excuse that he was too close to the Alonso incident to see it.

Brilliant!

I do sympathise with the difficulty refs have in their job but that is truly bizarre.

Everton are a complete joke. Can't even beat Swansea
Swansea have been decent under Carvalhal. They did beat Liverpool and Arsenal at home.
