More joke referring at Anfield and a few minutes ago Vinicius was pulled by the last defender and the ref was very quick to show that there was nothing there to see.

It’s very city to pump Arsenal and then struggle against West Ham.

Is there no end to the blatant cheating? My god it’s getting embarrassing now, even for Liverpool themselves.

I’d say this is easiest home game left for Liverpool. Hopefully Brentford and Villa can make it more difficult for them.

Sky sports: “What is Diop thinking? All of Fulham's hard work undone by a moment of madness from the defender. Contact is questionable on the replays but it's such a rash challenge that referee Stuart Atwell had no option but to point to the spot."

So he doesn’t actually touch him, but he left the ref no choice? Er…

at this point just have to assume pool are gonna win out. This luck of theirs is just ridiculous and refs for some reason keep helping them out. Just like the blatant offside literally at the start that got them a corner.

West Ham didn't go gung ho like Arsenal did. They're very compact and leaving no space to exploit. We'll see if they can keep it up the whole 90 minutes.

Imo De Bryune has been hard carrying City for years. Whenever he has an off game, e.g. in the CL, the rest of the team often struggles. I'm hoping his legs go sooner rather than later.
The profile of KDB as a midfielder is the main difference. Ball carrying midfielder, press resistant, very good passer on the ball, very good decision maker, with good shot both legs. We have no Midfield player in our team who can score the first goal, KDB scored against Arsenal. KDB was surrounded by 3-4 Arsenal players was able to score. Elite.

But according to some, Pep can just replace KdB with any decent midfielder and they'll be just as good. :houllier:

It was not even a challenge. He tried to kick the ball, then quickly pulled his leg away. Nunez clearly dived there. Referee sold, but it's VAR job to overturn it given there is no contact.

Feck these Scouse love in commentator.

Valiant effort from West Ham, the cnuts…but they can’t keep this up for another 45. City will score at least three in the second half.
