We'll have to win the Europa League now. There's no way we'll be in the CL otherwise - and this team looks completely shot.
Dramatic much. It’s still well under control.

We're in serious trouble. Have lost every ounce of intensity regardless of the fixture

Remember the spanners who told everyone they were bedwetters and not to worry about top 4 cos we were challenging for the title. Good times.

Possibly. We can obviously still make it, but this team looks very tired and very flat and has a hell of a lot of football still to play.

50-50 I reckon.
It's over. It's like Ole in 2019. It all went downhill rapidly after the international break for him as well. So many of the same gutless players are still around. Oh and Shaw will do feck all for the rest of the season now he has got his deal.

It really isn't under control at all. If Spurs win tomorrow, we'll drop to fifth.
And if they don’t?
Ive seen Spurs been given so many wins in here, must be a mystery why Conte was sacked.
Just saw their fixtures anyway, they play Newcastle and Brighton in their next 3 games so it’s our rivals playing each other. All we have to do is win the majority of our home games and we’re there.

Looking at the energy of Newcastle compared to our players it's really concerning.

Maybe if Martial can stay fit for once and Case comes back we could muster a resurgence but that's really doubtful.

With 2 games in hand.

We can do it by just winning all of our remaining home games, the worrying thing is we’ve been flat since the Cup final and the Pool game shattered the illusion, so this is a squad low on both energy and confidence.

I’ve never seen a team so good at home yet so poor away. Not sure we’re favourites for top 4 anymore. Without Casemiro we are a mid table side

We've just blown the race wide open again after getting ourselves in a great position.

The players need to improve their attitudes, they haven't shown more fight than the other team in any game since the Liverpool humbling.

We'll need Martial, Eriksen and Casemiro to come back in and make an impact. Too many tired legs elsewhere.

Ultimately, though, we simply don't have the squad to go deep in multiple competitions simultaneously and the ludicrous number of games we've played looks to have caught up with us.

We should get top 4 but there is a huge amount that needs to be done for us to challenge on multiple fronts.

This squad isn’t remotely good enough for that right now.

Why? We have a great home record
Because we're in terrible form. Fulham outplayed us at Old Trafford, too, in the FA Cup until they inexplicably self-combusted. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if we dropped points against both Brentford and Everton this week.

You can live in delusion only for so long. Eventually, reality hits you in the face. We don’t have a squad that can finish Top 4 in this competitive environment. As soon as someone of the starting XI is missing, the quality drops off a cliff, especially if Casemiro is the one not playing. And with so many games, players are going to be unavailable. Our saving grace is that Spurs are our rivals for the place.

We may still finish top 4 but we’re doing our upmost best not to. I think we’ll get done at Spurs in a few weeks. Away from all season has been crap.

So who’s the two teams that’s going to overtake us if we’re going on form?

8 points above Liverpool. That’s all I’m looking at. Finish above them, top 4 is in the bag.

Competing for every comp available was going to hit this squad eventually, it isn't good enough or deep enough to play 60 plus games
They've looked toasted for weeks

We’re dropping out of this tomorrow night unless Everton win.

Makes you look pretty stupid though when you're dismissing the people who could see us collapsing like this.
If you're doing this because you had folk responding to you in that way then, fair enough, bash on. I just find it tiring seeing "I told you so" comments at the expense of others who are probably already feeling like shit after such a depressing performance. But if they've been dishing it out themselves then it's fair game.

'Bedwetters' has been a favourite recently in this thread.

Well Newcastle have overtaken us into 3rd. The other team is probably Spurs if the players rally now that Conte is gone.

It's still within our control and we should get it but we are in dire form right now.

My word, anyone would think Utd are 10 points away from top 4, all you'll negative vibes should be banned from this site. Oh no, dropping out the top 4 if other teams win and Utd have 2 games in hand, everyone go crying in the corner.
