The source is all over Twitter but cant find the italian article. For that money i think it will atleast make Roma think 28 and wont get a better deal than this, also Radja has been very difficult to convince to leave italy so money on offer will be double of his salary(3million euros per year net). I hope he accepts. I would rather sign him than matic or dier. Not a pure DM but herrera can play there. lets get him.

He would be a wonderful signing. He's better at the Herrera role than Herrera is, and we can push Ander back to play as a more dynamic #6.

The difference in quality between him and Matic would be immense. A potentially title winning midfielder like kante( although a box to box one)

Couldn't agree more. Nainggolan would be my top priority for a midfield three and he's not bad as a #10 either. Almost as importantly, I think he has the personality and drive to perform under mourinho

For as good as he is, paying 45 million will be peanuts. I really think signing him alone will take us a level above most midfields in the league. Probably will have strongest and most dynamic midfield in the country.
Also the goal threat from midfield will increase. With radja, herrera Pogba contributing about 20-25 goals. Plus Radja's game is not based on pace, he will give us 4 good years easily.

I think he's crap. Has been every time I've watched him play anyway. I would honestly just prefer to keep Fellaini in our midfield.

I don't know much about him but I do know he's one of the best midfielders in FIFA 17. He's a beast.

He would be a great signing and certainly more worth that type of money than Matic. It would change the mood of a pretty uninspiring transfer window so far.

But it would be very surprising if he left Roma.

Final stages of his contract negotiations with Roma. Nainggolan must be just about ready to sign the new deal, just wants to squeeze a few more Euros out of them.

They've already sold Manolas, Paredes, and Salah. Nainggolan isn't going anywhere; those retained wages will probably go his new contract.

I doubt many on here have really seen a lot of him. They just see a DM who plays for an Italian club who looks rough and assume he must be as good as Gattuso or De Rossi.

From what I've seen (a few Belgium games, admittedly less than 10 games) he has been rubbish in every single one. Has given the ball away constantly.

Considering some here didn't even want Ronaldo ffs, I think I am justified in not wanting this guy.

I am sure that Woodward and his network of support staff, agents etc can easily see through that hence the apparent concurrent pursuit of Matic. If there is a chance of landing this signing it would be criminal not to explore it to a degree.

He's not a DM though.

I doubt the Matic deal would impact any potential (fabricated?) interest in Nainggolan. They don't play in the same position.

I don't understand why some of you are talking up this guy as some defensive rock. He's a box to box midfielder with the same problems Pogba has. He plays along side Strootman and Paredes, both are more defensive than him.

He tracks back a lot and has a cracking tackle, which Pogba doesn't have. Him next to Pogba, with Herrera behind them would be immense. Not happening though, he'll stay.

He's a versatile midfielder who can play as a box-to-box, holding midfielder, or even an attacking midfielder/inside forward as he did for most of this season.

Has anyone talked him up as a defensive rock? I think a midfield three of him, Herrera, and Pogba with Ander the deepest could work. I mean, there's no set 'no.6' pure anchor type midfielder, but there's bundles of energy, physicality, and mobility in there.

Tend to agree you, you don't always have to have a pure anchor

From what I've seen and I have watched him a lot, he hardly tracks back and there's nothing special about his tackling. Oppositions would have a field day against a Pogba-Herrera-Nainggolan trio.
