He's one trick pony. the midfield was so open, rashford couldnt give a sh't yet he did nothing to fix it. its miracle the score is still 0-0 so far.

Cannot believe that Rashford is just walking up and down the left flank and hasnt received a public bollocking from the manager.

I mean should just take him off for that kind of behaviour on the pitch

The issue was people thinking he would have a central role when the term "consultancy" implies the opposite.

It was always going to be our actual DOF, manager, etc. who were in charge. Yet we had people talking like Rangnick was going to suddenly do our DOF's job for him.
It's a shame though because unlike Woodward's men (murtough and the serial promoted guy) Rangnick has vast experience in building clubs

Said it earlier in the season, but it's like playing with 10 men when Rashford's on the pitch.

Not to worry Rashy FC has assured me that he'll give a toss next year.

To see the attacking depth had City had the other night and we're still playing Rashford really shows how huge the gap is.

At least our proud “never lost at home when leading at half time” record lives to see another day.

Can't believe people actually buying his bullshit.

Not getting top4 technically set us back a year or more.
And this guy is doing everything he could to protect his reputation, blaming everyone else but himself..saying all the obvious thing instead of actually helping our club.

I'm not sure this one is laziness from Rashford. I bet he's covered enough yards.

It just seems like he has no awareness of James, no brain to just shift his position a little.

Yep he seems to have absolutely no clue on what to do defensively. Absolutely no positional awarenss.

Sure, but a consultant can play many different roles in my experience. It implies that either he or the club wanted to retain some flexibility, but it didn't necessarily mean he was going to be quite such a part timer as 6 days a month. Hopefully they have the foresight to use him plenty over the first six months.

I can't believe Rashford has been told to play on the wing and not track runners. He is an absolute shambles. Get him out the club, just a PR guy.

Rangnick working part time for us in a consultancy is fine. He can provide his brain, Murtough carries out the actions he suggests. Also, if we did recruit Paul Mitchell under Ralf's advice, we basically have a mini-Rangnick working for us anyway. Also, we may have some interesting links develop with Austrian football. Maybe we can start a club partnership with LASK or someone. We'll have the inside track on the best Austrian youngsters and they are seemingly going through a Belgium-esque renaissance in talent.

2 wins in 11. Refuses to give the kids a chance. Awful.

Need to permanently bin him off to Austria.

No one is saying he's the only problem. But my god is he not the solution. Six months wasted here.

Jees calm down. Just because he can’t do it as a manager, doesn’t mean he can’t be of great value to United in the consultancy role. Too much over reaction on here. He’s a smart guy and he’s proven it at other clubs. He hasn’t proven it as a manager but that’s not the long term goal of him being here. He is an interim manager.

Wait for it guys, his real performance is coming after the match in his interview. No doubt he'll be serving up verbal candy to the media and his followers to lap up.

Interesting interview from Matic. He said Chelsea were tactically perfect, have great players, and a great manager.

Fingers crossed he is better at being a consultant than a manager. I can see why the players aren't warming up to him.

He certainly won't be missed.

People happy he’s off and won’t be involved in overhauling us are the same people that cheered on Ole destroying us for 3 years. Stupid.

Unfortunately many are too thick to get this simple point.

You do realise that getting the top 4 means nothing changes? No big spending and no squad overhaul. Everyone get's new contracts and we just keep hiring and firing managers, but if that's what you want then let's go with that...

Don't forget that they wanted him to continue as DoF because his transfer activity was spot on!

That would not happen now either. Getting into the top four will be better to attract the right players in general. We usually make bad signings for the club whenever we are out of the top 4 due to desperation of signing "big/good players" because the club wants to show that they are overhauling or whatever shit.

People understand the point. It's just not real. It's fake. It was always a figment of your imagination.

Rangnick was never hired to be a DOF or anything similar. That was never the plan. Ever. He has never had or been slated to have the responsibility to do any kind of overhaul. Ever. That has been abundantly clear by his public statements, by the things United has told the press, and now by the fact that he is apparently considering taking a completely different job.

Didn't see any patterns of play, our goal was only down to individual brilliance.

Let him leave and let Ronaldo have a go for a manager/player role, only to make the last 3 games a little more interesting because it'll be boring
