Made a big fuss about it and then never got around to making it.

@marukomu, good sir, you know what to do.

In before the moaners turn this too into a moan fest. Hope this one gets into triple digits in page count.

Will love it if Allison gets shown up this season. Guy is the luckiest feck in the world. They're still sharing his Napoli save as if it was incredible and proves he's the best keeper in existence. Hopefully his dumbass side comes out to play again. Will be some good meltdown material.

Interested to know how are the scousers reacting to their lack of transfers on RAWK? Are they melting down or are they still the best team in the world la?

Call me deluded but some of the saves that were heralded as world class last season looked fairly standard to me :nervous:

They really were. They say it's because his positioning is so good though. Guess all those times Dave has done an incredible dive to pluck it out of the air before it flew into the corner were because his positioning was poor.

Thought this was going to highlight their hypocrisy after their youngster got cynically fouled, years to the day after Kuyt did exactly the same thing to an Everton player

First post in their super cup thread when we were playing against RM.
Why are you making threads for friendlies?
First post in their own Super cup thread for upcoming game this season.
Will we have our strongest 11 for the super cup? In my opinion its a major trophy (And I think the club agrees as we have it on 'the wall')

I hope I don’t jinx the coming season, but I don’t think this Liverpool team is actually that good. On paper they aren’t a great side at least.

Klopp and his tactics have them playing out of their skin but I don’t think the majority of their team individually are anything special.

They have had 2 golden seasons, but I think that they have just been in great form along with minimal injuries to key players and a lot of luck with no VAR being in place.

I've watched them a bit in pre-season and they look toothless without Ferminho/Mane/Sala. They've been beaten twice so far. Apart from Brewster, I don't think much of their academy either.

Would rather have Dave anyday. Anyone could look amazing as long as they are half decent with a defense like that in front of them.

Tomkins

The Liverpool manager looked at his clenched fists, then extended one finger, then two – until, one by one, he had counted to six. Another huge grin in the pyro glow, before, half-cut, he almost fell off the back of the bus.

Boom!

City won the title last year, but liverpool deserved it
No they didn't. No one deserves anything in football for that matter. You have to take your chances. They were 7 pts in front and then lost the vital away game to City which reduced the gap to 4.

What? City had an absolutely insane run of wins in the second half of the season. Liverpool drew a bunch of times and got ridiculously lucky in a few games, they really shouldn't have won the amount of points they did.

If it wasn't for a few soft decisions they would have been out of the title race by May. And even putting that to one side, they bottled it against an injury ravaged United side that was practically being held together by chewing gum in the midst of an absolutely dire run of form. They didn't deserve anything but a patronising pat on the back for putting on a nice show for everyone watching.

Looking forward to the scouse not over achieving this year. Would be nice if Klopps smile is well and truly wioed off his face by Xmas this season.

It's called having a team, you know individuals working as a unit :D
On a side note, I think they will finish second to city again

I just noticed something new. They guy on the bottom left with grey shirt, his left hand on his mouth. What was he doing (or thinking)?
@D4X73r

Its them and City again this season, Liverpool haven't strengthened but City signing Rodri as a straight-up Fernandinho replacement / rotation puts them in a strong position.

City 1st, Liverpool 2nd again I reckon in another thrilling one that goes to the wire.

They have three excellent forwards, the world's best defender and two excellent fullbacks. The midfield is workman-like. Its a good team, you can't deny them that. They did get lucky with opposition players making mistakes and some dodgy decisions. But that happens to all teams, therefore I am not really sure VAR will make as big a difference as its being made out. I think not strengthening won't hurt them too much because United and Arsenal have also done very little in comparison to the gap between the teams and Chelsea have the ban.

I am most looking forward to them getting close once again but still falling short.

Lot of talk on twitter about the tackle on that young lad. Somebody has posted a comparison of their attitude towards that and kuyt attacking phil Neville years ago.
One guy claims kuyt was an attempted block and never touched him
Another has gone full victim and started bleating about how everybody wanted them to fail last year and we're all against them, ending with the whole 6 trophy emojis etc.
It's actually quite frightening to see level of delusion within that lot.
I'd post the tweet but I'm not able to embed stuff.
