Real Madrid v Liverpool | Champions League Final (May 26th, 2018)

Last time they fluked it they had Dudek in goal. When you think about it, dudek. Feck them. Next time they should try bringing a keeper.

Now I'm sad for Karius. His life is going to be awful from a social standpoint.

Is it too far to suggest that there might have been some dodgy match fixing involved?

Remember that time some team was involved in matchfixing against Liverpool? The dippers didn't know about it, but the keeper of the other team was paid to concede 2+ goals. Liverpool could only score one.

So much crying going on. Not judging but do the losing team usually cry a lot?

Did we sign Karius before the game and didn't tell anyone? Is he gonna come back on the pitch in a madrid kit and celebrate?

Alexi Lalas saying congratulations to BARCA for the la liga title. SMH.

Have to feel for Karius a bit. Player like him has no business being at this stage in the first place. Will do well to mentally recover from tonight ever again.

Also... get the feck in Ronaldo. 5th Champions League title for him. Incredible.
People said the same about Moyes. You're give the opportunity, men person up and grab it.

So far it looks like shoulder dislocation according to BBC. :(
Seems like a collar bone fracture rather than popping his shoulder out, he was pointing straight to the collar bone.

Think he will be out for 2-3 weeks if thats the case.

On a serious note, no amount of apologizing by Karius exonerates him, tbh. Silly mistakes, those goals and criminal during a CL final.

Congratulations to Real on their win . Zidane take a bow . No matter what anyone say about his managerial prowess . He has the most exclusive record . 3 in a row . Hats off to Bale . What a performance and what a goal . Also well done Benzema for that smart goal .

Gutted for Salah . Hope he goes to the world cup .

Karius will walk alone tonight .

English teams can never do it when they're up against the big boys. There have only been a handful of times over the last 20 years when an English club has beaten one of the real giants of European football. And when Chelsea did it, they did it with blanket defence, and a fair bit of luck, which is the English way. We just don't produce the players, and our homegrown players tend to be English, whereas German, Spanish and Italian teams homegrown players tend to be German, Spanish and Italian! Which gives them a massive advantage.

It's ironic that a Welshman has scored twice because he's probably the only world-class British player. Maybe you could make a case for Kane, although I think he's got a long way to go (ie. winning absolutely anything at all). English teams, and players in particular, just aren't that good. Despite all the money. That's why the England national team is the most underachieving national team in the world, considering the resources in English football.

Not for one second did I expect Liverpool to win this game. They haven't disappointed.

Ended in one of the most predictable and boring finals in CL history imo.

Was similar to last year's one. Juve gave it a good go but Real Madrid stepped it up last half hour and that was that.

Madrid's mentality is incredible in the CL. Know if only they showed their domestic competitions a bit more respect and win a treble or something...
