He can't pick the player I want
After his next pick he has to wait 15 picks. If everyone told him what they are going to pick -even if he can't stop you- it is very likely to affect his choices.

E.g. I have 4 players in mind for a certain role and 3 for another, I can pick 1 each next. If I know one of the lists will be more depleted I'd go for that one.

As a rule, anything that gives away picks coming after someone's pick isn't a great idea, be it PMd targets or publishing rolls before a turn is over.

He is in the 'can't win with kids' box.

Since it's likely that it's Downcast sleeping time and unlikely to come soon and looking at his roster he needs a defender so here it goes:

A personal favorite of mine in the 90's who often gets underrated in drafts:

Hope he's ok with him:

Versatile, can play both as WB, RB and CB (and pacy as well).
I'm fine with your choice. Thanks

Bloody hell. You guys are way too nice. This has been a risk-free bonus round really
It's like that time when someone started a room in the shooting game Quake III with no human players and only bots and let it simulate forever. After 4 years when he checked the bots were all absolutely standing still and not doing anything despite having weapons, as they were programmed to find the way that is the safest for them. With a few runs of an algorithm a simple computer deciphered that if no one fecks with anyone we attain peace and have no problems whatsoever, something that will somehow be forever oblivious to some.

Credit @Joga Bonito for helping me out with this one. Not the best game of Don Alfredo but match compilations really dont get him the credit he deserves, so much movement without the ball(both offensively and defensively) its actually insane, everything they say about him its true, legend played as a striker, number 10 and defensive midfielder in the same time. It was probably my mistake that i didnt include all movements but i thought for some reason that even the touches video will be much longer, after a while it was to late to go back....such a selfless player, true great of the game.
Great stuff.

The incredible thing is that he was 37 (nearly 38) when this match happened and his all round impact and influence was something else really.

If you watch the game against Benfica in the 1962 final, where the game was more evenly poised, before Benfica gained the edge, you will see di Stefano's all-round game as a general come right to the fore. He was winning countless balls, squaring up against the impressive Benfica's midfield and even dropping into the FB areas occasionally. The incredible thing was that he wasn't overtly exerting effort, huffing and puffing about (ala Gerrard vs Milan 05) but rather just popping up in the right places just at the right time somehow and covering an insane amount of ground - keep in mind that it was a 36 year old di Stefano that we are talking about here. There were actually times where I had to rewind the footage a few times, to be certain that it was actually di Stefano and not del Sol or someone else whom I was confusing him with, due to the fairly grainy footage .

Just found a compilation of his match performance. Watching that performance, you'd probably think he was playing as a holding defensive midfielder . Even then, I'd say that vid doesn't really do his performance justice as it doesn't contain his tracking, positioning and most importantly the command that he seemed to have in his zone/area of the pitch off the ball, that you'd generally associate with defensive greats/generals. Amazing player really

A never-nude? I thought he just liked cut-offs.
Enough drops already, if it goes like this well be rolling till mid August to get to 14 players.

Otherwise I think I got your player from the description, but Helguera is the better pick for Skizzo(also can be CB/SW, etc) which I think was Pat's intention (to make his life easier than harder) :)
Aye, I wanted to be fair to Skizzo and ideally put the frighteners on a few others, and ultimately did neither particularly well . Helguera seemed rather generous at the time in the context of players like Heinze being allocated, but with philanthropists like Aldo gifting the likes of Futre he's lost some shine. The less said about my other aim the better, despite Anto's best efforts at explaining things through my drunken haze

I read the most amazing thing about the artificial neural network. They put one in DOOM iirc, without any information to start with. And I mean none whatsoever- that this is a game, that you need to go forward, that you need to win. Some hours later it understood the concept (how, ffs?) and completed the game.

Off topic but still.

A guy with a quality tache.

Never played with any of DC players.

Box 25: No Mate - For #1 in draft, #16 will be previous manager. Should have played with previous manager's (whoever picked just before you that turn) last pick.

Everything you said in the quoted post applies for this game as well, even the rewind part.

While I get the point that monthly drafts with the same people lead to non-aggression, computers don't socialise, like or dislike ASX465, and, crucially, they don't get bored.

Overly complicated plans often tend to fall into its arse especially while going through alcoholic equilibrium

You guys have a big advantage over the rest anyway (with one less box to worry about in terms of dropping players) and calculate your drafting without overlapping with each other(think only Pirlo/Kaka overlap from the roster).

About fecking time! Picked him as my Nesta non-WC winning (x2) replacement.

Since NM can't pick my next guy, I'm almost done with name and surname targets (i.e. clear top target for a role). Just one more, then fill up the rest easily.

Ultimately this is supposed to be fun and we all put a lot of time into it. Some managers were given good picks and some were pretty average. That was the risk of this round. I was always intending to pick the best player I could who I didn't intend to use in my team.

Probably stood there and got shot. Once, twice, thrice... the only logical conclusion is to come out all guns blazing.
That is if you get that dying is wrong, for example. Or that you can eliminate the threat by shooting at it. Or that you can move and you should go forward in order to succeed.

(showcasing my latin) But the network itself is a tabula rasa - and if the concept of a game, winning etc. is natural to human (homo ludens and everything), or any other conscious animal, it's not a given to a blank neural network, which has to learn somehow that winning is better than not winning.

A strange place to have this discussion, probably
