I don't care what you do with shadow drafting but obviously if you were part of the actual draft you'd have to stick with the first name mentioned and not change it

If I were part of the actual draft I would have a designated person picking the player. Came up with a plan B, but once the RT pick was in a role I had available it made sense to share that as the idea is to share fortunes (given same rolls, same impact of events, i.e. ceteris paribus, how different do teams end up).

The only issue really is that I have been making decisions based on Futre. A strike partner for Futre, Futre's sub not needing his own sub, etc. But I'm happy to revert back.

In fact, I'll produce two XI, one with Futre and another with Heinze. The differences would likely be discussion-worthy, particularly if I can get my last piece of the puzzle.

There are several times where I was baffled about certain players being unpicked, but this one tops the lot, honestly. I'm so glad that I was able to get him in Round 14 of all rounds! He allows me to have some tactical flexibility as well.

I still think he gets underrated, the man's been the best CM this decade, basically post-Xavi and at the heart of a team that's been dominating Europe through their midfield and have won 3 CLs in 4 years, which isn't even far off from their insane late 50s EC run.

I think it will take him to retire to get the love he fully deserves.

Indeed, the decline that happened at Liverpool by his departure is one of the steepest I've seen. They were a free flowing, swash buckling attacking team in the 08-09 season, demolishing top teams like Madrid in Europe and then obviously that afternoon at Old Trafford, etc. The next season they absolutely terrible to watch, finished 6th or 7th I think and simply lost the entire flow in their game, even though they still had both Gerrard and Torres who were the ones credited most for that great 08-09 season.

I can see how DLPs can get that. Same with our post Scholes one (not same tier, obviously, but player type).

With Modric it's baffling though, he is right in the thick of it, easier on the eye... Sure, the BBC get all the press, but it would fall on its arse without players like him. Fulcrum.

Pfft. He just looks good because of Ronaldo. Having an entire team designed to let you boost your goal scoring tally apparently amounts to enhancing your team mates.
