Dived to avoid the challenge, he clearly stopped a potential counter attack, professional freekick and a fair yellow.

schweinsteiger is the idiot for diving in like that when on a yellow.

Also pretty funny to see Guardiola whine about diving, glass fecking houses

Really don't give a crap. Niave if you don't play Europe at their own game.

Contact or not.. it was clear obstruction without getting the ball.. stopping a potential counter.
That has to be a foul...

It was a dive but Bastian was gonna make the foul if he didn't throw himself. It doesn't excuse Wayne. That was embarrassing but I'm happy with the result.

100% foul, Rooney's shrug to Bastian said it all, he got himself sent off by stupidly diving in. Of course Rooney dives over it, he's not a fecking idiot.

Exaggerated the fall. Not a yellow but I'm not bothered. No Martinez and Schweinsteiger is only good for us.

Clear foul, deserved a yellow. It was his second yellow. This thread is embarassing.

Rooney's one of the consistent divers in the team but I thought that was an obvious foul to be honest.

Similar to Sturridge with Vidic's sending off. Little to no contact but he dived into the challenge looking to make contact when on a yellow card. Cant complain

Theatrical fall, but Schweinsteiger can't complain. He went for the challenge and was clearly too late. If you do that on a counter, you're always risking a yellow card.

He was practically murdered. How on earth are people saying it was a dive?

Deary me.

Pretty obvious foul, and yellow. Stupid from schweinsteiger really. I love him as a player but that was his fault already on a yellow.

Not really sure how anyone can think it was a dive. Did pretend to be hurt after though.

Definite foul, not sure a yellow.

People that find it embarrassing take football way too seriously.

A foul and just about a yellow (though we couldn't complain if it wasn't given).

Rooney made the most of it though.

Pigsteiger was late - foul - second yellow - red.
What's the problem here?

Against Villa? Yeah it was a bad one, embarrassing really. Thankfully he cut it out tonight.

Reminded me of Steven Gerrard's starfish. No sympathy, though.
