To those that keep saying Rooney loves the club so much and care about the fans! Here is your captain! Captain "Sprayed Wane" Wayne!

We deserve to finish outside the Champions League places again this season if we continue to pander to this guy as he perform like an lower half championship player. If this club genuinely believes he is fine and should be in the start eleven any more then dear me, then we are truly run by amateurs on football matters and results wont improve this season or the next until we get real on football matters as we live in the past just like Liverpool did for many years and that got them nothing but failure on the pitch. We might as well rebrand the club to Wayne Rooney United F.C if Rooney can control the football matters at the club like this. He says he got nothing to prove and can play all positions, that is deluded beyond words :lol:

8 years ago though.

I've declined quite a bit in 8 years as well!
Well firstly, even up til maybe 2012 he was good enough to get into any PL team. He's declined a lot since then too

And if you compare him to other elite players about his age (Ronaldo Tevez.. etc) none of those have declined so rapidly from 2008

“United stands for attacking, attractive football
What else should he have said?
Aye, the fans are right. I'm just not up to the standard United need so I'll be leaving In January. The club and the team come before me. That's if anyone wants to buy me of course.....what with me having a leaky mouth and losing the ball so much. Never been a United fan so I'm not too bothered about the club or that crap chap who's come as manager but I did like my pay packet. He, he couldn't believe the suckers gave it to me in the first place. Now they've offered me £10 million to leave....can't refuse that now can I?

I expect he will start on Saturday. I completely give up - the people at the club are crazy and suicidal to be pandering to this guy. If they think we'll be making top four playing 10 men all season, well good luck with that. Ed can just do his budget/forecasts already for the next year end accounts, and make sure he deducts the amount that Adidas will be withholding after we end up mid table or worse.

Yep, that would have been nice to read as well.

'I dont want the people to read it in the papers first. It is true, Coleen and myself we are going to China in January. Kai is already super excited and he is wearing the Shanghai Shenhua shirt with my name on the back all the time. I cant wait to start this super exciting chapter in my career. I have won everything with Man United and want to win the Chinese Super League too as a cherry on top of the cake. It is a good opportunity for me to show Big Sam that i still have ambitions and what it takes to play in the WC 2018. Demba Ba told me already some great stories about the club and culture. I want to thank all my teammates and the club, especially David Moyes for that nice contract. And Phil Neville for backing me all the time in the media. Oh and i was the guy leaking all the stories to Ducker, sorry for that. You know, all part of the business'

'The national team manager and United manager continue to pick me and make me captain but due to the consensus on Redcafe I think it is best for all involved if I take a massive pay cut and leave for the MLS in the January window. I will take the pay cut as a gesture to the denizens of the Redcafe forum so United can recoup a good transfer fee for me in order to aid the important net spend arguments on said forum'.

Nothing surprising in there. After all, he has nothing to prove.

To much "we" and not enough "I" in there for me. I'd have more respect if he took some personal blame instead of grouping himself with the team.
It's not for him to stand up and take responsibility. It's not like he's the captain or anything. Oh, wait...

Oh god. He will start on Saturday. So disappointing to read the same old rehashed crap that he always comes out with.
Nah, he'll come on when we're struggling at either 1-0 down, or 0-0, and erm..not make any difference as the result stays the same.

He doesn't care, that is where the problem lies, or he does care, but refuses to acknowledge his deficiencies. I am sure he thinks it is all down to tactics and where he is playing and his teammates that are not good enough.

I actually think there's probably something in this and to an extent he is right. He's gone from being the focal point of the team, the one who the tactic was based around and the one who players looked for to being just another player in a system that doesn't really suit him with players who really aren't going out of their way to find him.

So yeah, he's probably finding it a little harder under Mourinho but that is, quite frankly, tough shit. He's no longer anywhere near good enough to be worth basing tactics around and he's definitely not the talisman any more. It's up to him to learn how to do the basics well and find out how to fit into the new systems.

This is a really difficult time for him. All his professional career the media, managers and pundits have praised him and said he was world class, a legend, the national team's saviour etc etc. He bought in to the hype just like the majority of Utd fans did until recently. He is human and probably thinks that he is being unfairly treated and you know what, up to last season the majority of persons on the caf would have agreed with him.

It doesn't matter. He knows he has been shite, alright to say what he wants and I doubt he isn't trying to improve. Just don't start him for sometime.

He's a grown man now - time to take responsibility. Life is made up of hard choices.

I admit... I now belive that he has a status of.automatic starter written in his contract.
Shhh, me too. Everything surrounding his place in the team, his status at the club and how he has been treated these last couple of years suggests there's something going on.
