Officiating has gone all football.

Never used to be like this in rugby.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fecking fix it.
Not really. The IRB has been changing rules and interpretations nearly every years in my lifetime, it's nothing like Football. The issue here isn't the rules but the lack of consistency from certain refs when it comes to things that are obvious and very often things that have not changed in decades.

This is why I’m surprised they haven’t gone with Willie at 15. Libbok is dynamite but his place kicking is suspect. Maybe they feel Faf is a good enough backup place kicker

We need to stay switched on here. A Scottish try is going to open it back up

Too many pens now. It’s become a set piece and pens game and Scotland can’t play this game

Talking about laws and refereeing, anyone else is amused by the fact that nearly every scrum should lead to a penalty against the team feeding it? It's very rare that the scrum half doesn't launch the ball to the second rows.

The Ireland and South Africa game will be incredible. Think Scotland have just lacked the physicality to compete here, but they haven't embarrassed themselves at all. Think Ireland and France have it though.

There's just an inevitability when Scotland try to go through phases and just end up losing metres each phase. A turnover just seems inevitable.

Worry for Ireland is that as well as facing SA, Scotland now have to beat them so will throw the absolute kitchen sink at that game

That was always inevitable. A consequence of this stupid fecking draw. If Scotland had won we’d have to play SA in must win mode. The gulf in quality between the two sides of the draw even more obvious after the Argies shat the bed yesterday.

True, can’t dispute that

What’s going to happen tonight then boys. Fiji start with Tuisova and Botia on the bench, to the massive relief of Wales

Surely they have to now rescind Tom Curry's red? More or less identical incident in the Japan vs Chile game and a very similar one in the Scotland vs SA game, resulting in a yellow card and no card respectively.

Hopefully Wales gets a good stable opening performance. Probably the lowest expectations I’ve had going into a World Cup - just want to see us play well.
