Ireland play a different sport to England. Our lads might as well be playing football.

Shame for Scotland , but glad to see Ireland so defensively solid. We're still a little worrisome in forward play, a few small mistakes

Yeah, Ireland are going to win this bloody World Cup aren't they
I think France have a chance against them, as they have multiple turnover threats right across the team, and the only way to beat Ireland is to compete like feck for the ball at the breakdown. They are certainly favourites though as I’ve said for what feels like ages now

@Pogue Mahone

Did you notice that in the last 7 days the primetime games involve the pool A and B? Maybe the IRB actually planned the draw. :nervous:

What about NZ? I hastily dismissed them after the France game, and didn't really have them among the favourites coming into the World Cup either. But they've racked up some massive points. Granted, the opposition have been poor, but they appear to be going under the radar somewhat. I don't know. It feels like they're really revving up.

I'll be deeply nervous for that match too. More justified probably.

NZ are steamrollering the weaker teams but they don’t have the power to defend against irelands multiphase game. They were battered by the South African power in the warm up game and Ireland would put that on them. Plus, Savea aside, I don’t think they have the specialist turnover threats that are needed to stop Ireland/Leinsters game
