Serious underwritten I think, Mane can be a good attacking outlet for us, definitely give us more speed on the wing and brings a more direct approach than Mata.

If LVG wants him I think it's worth seeing what he has planned.

Didn't they do the same with the Schneiderlin bid?
Nah they said a bid had been made but they'd rejected it, mind you they then did say theres been no contact since and we signed him days later which would be either impressive or they were lying..

do you think he's a better option for us? i'll go with what you say, cina.
Right now, probably not. Pedro would've been a good, short term solution to our lack of directness and goals on the wing (although Depay is already showing he has both of those is abundance). I can't see Mane having an impact like that early on. Long term though he's obviously the better option due to his age, but I can't say I've seen enough from him to make me think he'll ever be as good as Pedro is at his best.

Bit odd-looking, ain't he? Looks like the lovechild of Balotelli and Ramires with Kompany's fivehead thrown in. We could use the likes of him and Rooney to balance out all the pretty boys.

Would be a good squad player to be fair. Very tricky customer and has a lot more improvement in him. Played mostly down the centre last season if I'm not mistaken and started the current season in a central position to but drifts around.

This guy is firmly in the 'Liverpool/Spurs signing' category so I'm baffled as to why we are going for him.

Manchester United[edit]
On August 19th 2015, Manchester United agreed a £35 million fee with Southmapton for Mane to move to Old Trafford, after Ed fecked up the Pedro deal and decided that Mane was the answer.

Have you seen him play? He is very inconsistent and lacks an end product. Most games looks like a headless chicken out there.

Don't really get the point of this. If we wanted a pacey but brainless and inconsistent player for the right wing, then what the feck was wrong with Nani?

Some journo's think we'll overpay for Mane, just to make up for not paying up to buy Pedro

I think Bolasie is better, personally.
I don't think Bolasie has the type of intelligence van Gaal looks for in players. He just runs down channels and something comes off from time to time which makes him look better than he is but his decision making is very bad.

I refuse to believe LvG decided he wanted Mane over Pedro.

This is a Young level signing and we already have Young.
Maybe we are looking for a Younger Young? This one will really separate the Mane from the boys.

Muller

The list is where it's at yo!

In fact, some on the list have been revisited to make sure until we go for mane.

The reaction of this thread

LVG obviously spotted something about pedro that he didn't like and has instead turned his attention to Mane. So all summer the guys on here have been saying we need a quick, creative player that can play in the premier league.

"we've bid for Mane"

"hes shit, why are we shopping at southampton, from Pedro to Him! fml" etc etc

Whats the problem then?

Prem proven? - check.
Fast - check.
creative - check.
high work rate. - check
Talented - check.
Not Pedro - d'oh.

Get a grip.

This post is a thing of beauty, perfectly sums up the increasing level of high almighty posts that tell us all we must blindly trust the manager.

It has the implicated you're all idiots and I'm so reasoned statement with the iconic green smiley.

Has the delusional revisionism to defend LvG then a list of FACTS why we should ignore our own opinions and BELIEVE in LvGs judgement. Oh and even a made up over the top quote .

Bravo sir, good trolling!

Have you ever seen Jim play, apart from Match of the day that is. Be honest.

I rather have Bolasie. Seen him play well in all three positions up front and he'd be a better option.

Both are inconsistent.

I've seen quite a bit of him and he's one of those "on his day" players. I'd liken this to signing Sessegnon when he was at Sunderland or Dembele when he was at Fulham in terms of level of ability. I also thought his best games came as #10, which doesn't makes sense because we have Rooney, Fellaini, Herrera, Januzaj, Depay who've all played there and then there's the possibilty of Mata doing the same. This transfer makes no sense and will be expensive.

Certainly has pace and some tricks, and has caused some teams a few problems the last couple of seasons, including us on a few occasions. Still, seems a bit like a headless chicken without consistency. Not sure how he would fit into the LVG style.
