Gaming The Outer Worlds | 25th October release date

Probably the game I’m looking most forward considering how very little quality is coming out this year. Star Wars looks decent, but it’s EA. Death Stranding just nothing stands out so far.

I'm building a gaming PC. I got a free copy of this after getting an AMD CPU. Which is great, but I'm not planning on building it until Xmas time, which means I have to wait two months to play it

Damn, I just ordered all my components last week and didn't get it, how'd you get that?

EDIT: Unless you mean the 3 free months of game pass?

I bought a 3700x from amazon about 3 weeks ago and through AMD rewards got 3 months of game pass and either borderlands 3 or the outer worlds...

I completely forgot this was being released this week. Glad it’s gotten positive reviews too, I’ve been looking for a decent single player game since persona 5 :).

I thought this was releasing on the Switch

Pre loaded on PC and it releases on my birthday so I am playing ALL damn day. Absolutely smashing reviews too and I trust obsidian so I am balls deep.

Pre-loaded on my Xbox - can't wait! God I love Game Pass

How did you prelaunch it? I bought it yesterday on the Epic Launcher (barf I know) but saw no option to preload?

Preloading it, looks pretty fun, didn't realise what kinda game it was till looking at it today. Free on game pass I may aswell have a go.

Also got the game pass for 1€ (first month - plenty of time for the game) and preloaded the game.

Telling myself I'll play through like a bastard but I guarantee I end up being nice again.

I was skeptical at first, but it's honestly an amazing experience. It can be a struggle, particularly when you think you've tried everything, but it's an incredibly rewarding feeling when you complete it. Or at least it was for me, it probably isn't a game for everyone.

Yeah I was the same at first but enjoyed it a lot.

This was pretty cool https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2019/09/11/how-outer-wilds-built-a-planet-which-falls-apart/

I downloaded it last week but struggled with it and gave up straight after leaving the planet. Couldn’t get into it at all.

Maybe I’ll give it a bit longer as I keep hearing good things.

If Bethseda aren't already a laughing stock enough, they want to actually charge people $100 a year to play Fallout 76 on private servers adding features some of which were supposed to be in the game at launch.

Interesting they do that and release the Fallout legacy collection the same week as Outerworlds too...

While you're all waiting to play The Outer Worlds, you should go play Outer Wilds. Probably the best game released in 2019, for me.

This. I'm currently playing The Outer Wilds and its just a brilliant little game

On the Outer Worlds, I think i'll definitely play this one at some point, probably get it closer to Christmas though so I can get a few games off my backlog.

Couldn't get into it myself. Felt a bit too clunky for my liking.

Can't wait for tomorrow - hoping my wife heads to be early so I can sneak a few hours in the evening.

Bethesda just conjured up another shitstorm with their Fallout 1st shenanigans for 76, I'm sure this will again funnel some attention to Obsidian and TOW.

Downloaded it last night. It’s a pretty creepy game at points isn’t it. I got stuck in the current on that Titan planet and also that bramble planet shit me up. Still kinda figuring out wtf I’m doing and crash landing on all the planets but I’ll get there.

I read somewhere that fans are raging at the hilariously terrible Fallout 1st announcement. I can't help thinking "what fans?" Surely there aren't any left at this point.

Yeah I quite like that though there really isn't any hand holding in the game and you're sort of bumbling your way about at first but then once you discover some things, read some ancient texts on a few different planets and check your ships computer you can see which things need a bit more to discover and where to go next to follow the breadcrumbs.
