I'm a bit late to the party so haven't really been studying your opponents but that looks savage Stobz. Got the customary mentally great attack but you've also got a good defence and a midfield that cannot be steamrollered through no matter what the opposition.

For the record as much as I would have liked Sol Campbell, I did say to Anto that it wouldnt be right to be swapping picks and I 100% agree with the way Aldo has managed this, and the entire draft thus far. I'm more than happy with my original pick (still to come).

I'm not really arsed either way concerning the Toure thing but we either need to be consistently hard-line or afford everyone an element of flexibility. By the sounds of things there are a hell of a lot of PMs flying around concerning different picks, all of which is little different from the feedback we're seeing on the main thread. So I'm not seeing the moral difference between the two approaches.

I'm leaning towards Keizer at the moment; no doubt he is the better player. Just not sure how many people would know much about him or appreciate him. Don't think I've ever seen him picked for a draft on here.

Don’t want to dwell on stuff and this is the last I’ll say on this but, for clarity:
  1. Agree with Gio there must be consistency and the consistency should be that people can hold convos with whoever they want but once something is posted it’s set in stone.
  2. There will only ever be inconsistency if bad precedents are allowed to be created. The gamemaster can’t be around 24/7, which leaves those around when these things happen to say something.
  3. Aldo wasn’t around in the previous two incidents and I’m probably the last person who should have been arguing with Theon when he did his change, he has a tendency to assume anything I post related to him is some sort of attack (as seen last night). I chose not to make a big deal of it when the norm should have been that if someone disagrees there’s no discussion to be had.
  4. I probably made it all worse with the whole Montero shit, although I put it out there and asked for views. Cutch was indeed quite uncomfortable about it all and it seemed he didn’t want to be the spoilsport not engage in something he thought was a ca of worms going forward.
  5. I have mentioned before that I grew up having every league imaginable available on telly because it was our military government’s opium for the masses. Aged 4 I brought a major incident upon my family because I was “caught” singing a song based on No Pasarán (the Spanish Republic’s song when defending Madrid against Franco). As it turned out I had heard it on a Spanish show that had been safelisted when Franco was still around, but the assumption was I had learned it at home and my parents were deemed guerrillas by association. A 4-year-old kid singing a song causing a shitstorm… imagine how much I’m willing to play ball with censorship.
  6. I don’t put that at the same level Brwned, obviously, but I disliked the way certain powers were used whimsically without consensus. I’m sure you didn’t think it through much and I didn’t make a big deal of it to begin with because I know it’s mostly me having a personal agenda with it.
  7. The moment Aldo said he disagreed that should have been it. You were dismissive and unfairly painted him into a corner as some sort of bad guy, so I went off on one.
I’ll take a break from this and leave you guys to it. Will show up for my game. Should have stayed retired!

You're off your rocker mate. I deleted the posts because they mentioned a player that - as far as I was concerned - was no longer picked. I personally think it's a little bit silly to avoid mentioning players that everyone is already obviously aware of but I've been told before to remove these players' names, as you can see below:
What other reason would there be for me to censor the conversation? :wenger: Like I said if you people want to get all bent out of shape because of me changing a player that's your business - I personally think nothing of it, whether it's me with Toure, you with Montero or paceme with Valdés. It's a non-issue to me but if you're all for hard-lining then feel free. I'm not arsed if people take issue with it - I made the changes and made little fuss. You're completely wrong about this abuse of powers and censorship nonsense though. It's not a matter of opinion, you're just wrong. The only issue was the change made.

This is the saddest moment I've been a part of on the caf. Ah well.

Good side but not sure about Koemans positioning, he should really be in the centre. You've got 2 sweepers there which may be a problem. If you come up against a team with a strong and pacy left side you could be in bother.

I strongly thought EDogen might go for him. He had a 60s position left at that time. Fair enough that he wanted Costacurta more but Cantona - Ronaldo up front with his midfield and defense would have been real tasty. Not that Sivori's a bad pick, obviously he's probably even better but considering this is a United forum, King Eric could have been a shrewd choice.
