Huge discount on Robocop Rogue City. Anyone tried it?
Get it!

It‘s very cool. Starts a bit extra clunky (like Robocop) but you progress / level up easily. It stays true to the source material and the atmosphere is well done.

I also have the Terminator game but wasn‘t enjoying that half as much.

I enjoyed the film as a kid so I’m thinking it’ll be a good time especially given I actually dont recall much. If you got it on the PS5 does it have decent dual sense support?

I bought it 3 weeks ago. Loved it immensely. Had the exact Robocop feel and you actually do cop shit for a change, like giving out parking tickets  . Its like it was all ripped right out of the movies. If you like Robocop, you'll enjoy this. Fully recommend it.

Nope, played it on PC. I don't think it picks up specific stuff from the movies but the whole world building / atmosphere and presentation is on point. You got a couple of multiple choice scenarios, mini-games (parking tickets for example) but it's all very nicely done and more of a small diversion rather than some grinding chore.

I'm not really much into turn based on combat but Claire Obscure : Expedition 33 is looking great. Glowing previews too.

Split fiction at 90 right now on metacritic. Not surprised one bit - everyone that got to play it earlier loved it.

Replaying Resident Evil 2 remake and I've come upon the sewer section once again. Urgh, it's such a tedious segment of the game.
Such a chore.

Yeah was my least favourite part too.
This being my second playthrough, it was actually less of a chore this time round.

I do think the game gets less enjoyable once we leave the station though.
It feels a little rushed and quite uncreative.

I always liked the lab section personally but yeah, the RPD station is so iconic. Leaving it is a bit sad for the game.

Name one legitimately good sewer level in any video game.

At some point I wonder whether it’s some industry in-joke between game devs to have a sewer level in their games.

‘It’s a sewer level and its shit, geddit?!’

I do wonder about that.

FF7 and FF8 disc 1.

ATOMFALL looks intriguing. A English Fallout.
Had a brief look. Setting is interesting but I don’t see anything that would set it apart from anything else in that genre. The usual post apocalyptic world with NPCs just standing around giving out fetch quests and telling you to speak to this or that person. Feels like we should’ve come a bit forward from that formula but I’ll see what reviews say.

Having watched the Secret Level episode, read up about the team behind it and discovered that McConaughey is voicing the main character, I'm all in on Exodus.

Can’t decide if I’ve just become an incredible Monster Hunter or Wilds is just incredibly easy.

I seem to recall when I first picked up World it was a struggle. Fights taking 30-40 mins, surviving by the skin of my teeth, having to craft specific gear to protect me from certain monsters and so on. Whilst this…

I’ve just waltzed to the credits with no faints and wearing mostly white lvl armour and lucky if a fight lasted longer than 10 minutes. Hopefully there is more to come from the game with tempered monsters and stuff but the main story was kinda easy.

Any one else played it and felt the same?

So many games to play. Yet, almost no interest from me. I wish I liked gaming as much as I used to. But I just don't. It is what it is, at this stage. Tastes change.

Assassin's Creed getting a predictable low 80s score (that's not in anyway an insult, I just expected as much). I've no interest in the series anymore but I'm interested to see how it does for those who are fans. Get the sense Ubisoft really need a hit with this one.

I’ve never played an Assassins Creed game since the very first (never finished it) but this has interested me due to its Japanese setting.

Picked up Session on sale for a tenner at the weekend, hoping it would scratch the wish-there-was-a-Skate-4 itch.

Anyone else played/playing it? Am I just crap at games or is it hard as feck?

It's definitely buggy. Your guy will just topple over for no reason. The ragdoll physics make it look pretty dumb too. They don't brace, they just turn into a pile of goo. Other than that, it's pretty fun, but certainly wouldn't recommend paying full price.

Tbh that's because some outlets with weird names gave it a 6 or 7, which I think was done to be controversial and drive clicks.

It’s actually reviewing better than I expected given their recent games

After watching Rings of Power I got the itch to start playing the Middle Earth games. Starting with Shadow of Mordor and it's quality.

That’s exactly what Skill Up said about the game. Essentially there was simply no fear of the monsters and it only felt like a bit of a challenge of you were 2/3 monsters

Really ooking forward to playing this! Have loved the previous games - although Valhalla was a bit bloated, but I still enjoyed the setting.

Am pleasantly surprised by the reviews so far too :)

Two weeks until the Switch 2 showcase. I'm excited. Hoping to see a new 3d Mario. It's time.

That’s probably a very good way of putting it, “no fear of the monsters” I have however seen a lot of people speaking about how it’s all fun and games till a certain High rank boss. From what I can tell there is a significant jump in difficulty once you get there.

Only really being doing 1-3 hunts at night after work so just getting tempered monsters now. It’s still good from what I’ve played but just not as good as worlds.

This is a long shot but if there's anyone here who has been playing the mobile game Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis and wants to join a guild or switch to a better one than the one they're part of, I run one which regularly finishes around the top 300 in guild battle rankings despite not being maxed out on numbers (22/30).

The ID is JUAQDWEKP9QCU

Guild bonuses:
Materia: Lv. 15/15
Battles: Lv. 50/80
Highwind: Lv. 28/30
Chocobos: Lv. 50/50

9 hours into AC Shadows and honestly, it’s pretty good. Probably better or at least as good as Odyssey. It doesn’t feel bloated either for the sake of it. It has that Ghost of Tsushima light, kinda feeling to it. Stealth is pretty fun and the combat is fun aswel. The 2 main characters are actually well written and likeable. So far I can tell it’s going to be a solid AC game.

Just noticed there‘s a new rebellion game released in a couple of days. Atomfall. Looks quite nice from first glance and like machine games it‘s one of the few devs I‘d almost buy blindly from.
