I wouldn't care, but it's a bit weird if the managers pick a player for him. Maybe @crappycraperson ? He knows Viva's pick though and I told him one unpicked player when he asked me about him, which gives him a slight advantage. But if he doesn't pick said player, I wouldn't mind if he helps out.
I wouldn't mind picking for him as long as you guys approved of the quality of the pick and it looks above board.

@Skizzo ? I don't mind, but the rules still apply, you know that? You can still get him a sheep, but at least he has a fair shot for a non-sheep player.

His sheep in the last round was Trevor Sinclair by the way, he's somehow missing in the team list you posted.

I'm fine with that, just so we can keep this moving along. Like Balu mentioned though, needs to follow the same criteria, and could still end up as a sheep depending on who you select.

I'm sure he'd prefer that to a definite sheep for missing the deadline.

Ok give me 15 minutes to quickly research and avoid sheeping him.

@zlatan_ish or @Hernandez - BFA

@MJJ has been MIA for a while now. He missed the deadline for his second stage pick of this round. There's only a few hours left before his third and final pick is due. Would either of you gentlemen be interested in stepping in/assisting him until he returns(if he does at all)

I'm sure he'd rather the assistance instead of a sheep :)
Sorry bud, I have an exam on Tuesday so I don't really have the time to do that kind of research. I'll have to pass on that offer.

 Really? It's Rivelino, anyone would want him in the squad. Particularly when this round has a real dearth of quality.

He can play on the left as well you know.
You're very very wrong about this.

For feck sake. I thought Ardiles was an absolute shoe in to be safe

His teammate from '78 wasn't even picked, wish we had gone for him now but I was sure he would have been snapped up.

I found it so hard to do middle east research.. just couldn't find the resources.
Middle East is a bit difficult, but the wiki pages for the exotic leagues usually have a 'famous names who played in the league' list, add the players with African descent to the list and research if they started their career at home, like Cutch did with Just Fontaine, and you have a great starting point to find most of the gems.

For which club did Jairzinho play for that matched the criteria? I could have sworn I looked him up.

Didn't know Rivelino was eligible this round. How did other managers research this round? Was a tricky one. I managed to find a list of foreign A-League players but that was about it.

Research was pretty simple, just very tedious. I did it by going thru wikis of all the GOATs and such. Even then I missed out on Romario.

I nearly picked Souness this round  @Gio saved my arse there. @sajeev and @Edgar Allan Pillow with cracking picks. Wanted to block Rivaldo first up

ROUND 7 CRITERIA

A two step process.

Step 1. Select a player from the blocked player pool OR from the successfully drafted players on a manager's team.

Step 2. Select two players who each played with this player but at different clubs. The two drafted players cannot have played for the same club at any point in their career.

To qualify, the players from Step 1 and Step 2 must have played a league match for the club in the same season while they were both at the club.

If you are successful with one pick, but not the other then you will only draft the successful player and subsequent picks must match the criteria.

If both picks fail, you can change your player from Step 1.

Multiple drafters can use the same player for Step 1.

PLAYER BLOCK LIST:

Beckenbauer, Di Stefano, Cruyff, Rijkaard, Sammer, Haan, Zebec, Vialli, Deschamps, Falcao, Maradona, Matthaus, Thuram, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, C. Ronaldo, Moore, Maldini, Koeman, Eusebio, Seeler, Zidane, Gullit, Best, Figueroa, Duncan Edwards, Stoichkov, Romario, Jorginho, Rivelino

Some cracking picks in this round.. from my perspective, Jairzinho and Rivelino would definitely have come in handy.. a few others on the list I had but couldn't see them fitting into my lineup tactically.

Heading to bed. If you need clarification on anything for this round, which hopefully you shouldnt :D then ask away, or shoot a PM over. Be back later to answer. Or that Balu fella has been pretty handy too ;)

I like this round a lot! Now to find the time for it...

...but not necessarily played in the same match, right?

Also, since this is another multi pick round, are we still going to have 10 rounds? 13 players in total?

Yeah, we make it easy for you guys. If one player played only in game 1, the second one only in game 2 while both were under contract at the club for both games it counts.

What doesn't count is if one player left during the winterbreak before the other one joined in the same transfer window. Even though both played a game in the same season for the same club, they weren't both at the club when they played in a game.

Probably not, but it's not 100% sure yet. Skizzo thought it would be good to get this done a bit more quickly. The plan is to have 12 man squads at the end of the draft.

@Balu If you fail with one pick, you aren't locked to that same club to pick again right?
