Was 1 single complicated deal tbh.

Pique + modric + lahm for Hummels + thiago + Kane + Anderson + de sciglio. I guess cash was involved too but I don't really remember, was quite some time back.
OAPs the lot of them.

How has anderson being this season?

Had to check as I've got bored and stopped keeping track but he's been doing well. 2 goals, 8 assists and a very good average rating on whoscored

David Alabas valuation is slightly too high in my opinion, everything looks good otherwise. Can you not simply use Transfermarkts valuation? They're pretty accurate.

Been away over Christmas so have only just seen that I won the league. Didn't expect United to drop points against Arsenal so obviously pleased with that. Thanks for the congrats guys. :)

Had a few messages about Insigne due his concern level, I'll be keeping hold of him for next season and he'll obviously play more to get that level down. I will probably make a couple of players available for transfer but will have to take a look when I get chance, probably tomorrow.

Surprised to see Oblak above Neuer and De Gea not even making top 50. Also there's Ramsey but no Mikhy.

Yeah, that's mainly due to the club ranking system which means that Manchester United are currently in 19th place. Thats the system that helps drive the Rating System which is based on the last 3 seasons of club form. Mikhy was at 94 while at Dormund but got a -2 this rating window (which was from 1st July to 31st October) as he barely played at United during that period. So not only did his rating get owned hard but his value did too. Poor lad. That will rebound however in the March review.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan - (92 rated valued at £28,806,000).

I wish they'd go back to having a few more highly rated players again. Seems like they're trying to lower the standard of world class to around 94/95 when a few years ago it wasn't uncommon for many players to hit 96 or higher. It seemed like 96 was the standard for a top level international player.

I've been playing this since around 2007, and players like Modric or Godin would have been 96 without a doubt in years gone by. Not long ago it was common to see 96 rated players all over the place.

Cassillas 96
Cech 96
Buffon 96
Julio Cesar 96

Puyol 96
Rio 96
Vidic 96
Nesta 96
Cannavaro 97
Lahm 95

Gerrard 97
Kaka 98
Ronaldinho 99

Henry 97
Eto'o 97
Rooney 96
L. Ronaldo 98

Anyone remember any more? I realise that just looking at the calibre of those players there's an argument for the standard having dropped in real life, but it does feel they're a tad reluctant to rise players to the top echelons again.

Now you have to really set the world alight like Robben did a couple years back to even get close to it. I guess on a rating scale of 60-99 it just leaves them with less wiggle room.

I think the issue was that Messi and Ronaldo were simply so good a few years back (feck even now) that only have 1 rating difference between them took the piss somewhat.

Yeah i think they left themselves too little room, and they felt they needed to better emphasise the distance between them and the rest. They seem so reluctant now though that deserving players top out around 95, unless they're a forward it would seem.

Agree with all of that. There is always going to be romanticizing about older players but the fact is that most of those guys were better than todays players. Godin and Modric though are arguably the best at what they do in todays football and ratings really shouldn't be based around Messi and Ronaldo when they play in different positions. They should probably have at least 2+ each (at the very least + 1 for Modric).
