It makes you wonder... are we even getting a "normal" Republican candidate like Bush, McCain or Romney, for the next decade plus? If Biden manages to win in Nov, what is coming out of the Republican primaries in 2024?
Theres a woman, cant remember her name, that many think will run.

oh do keep up
Haha yeah I know about that.
Was just making a joke about him saying he couldn't release them due to being audited (forever apparently) when he was pointed out that was a lie.
Wasn't there a tweet of him asking some other presidential candidate to release their tax returns?

"Hey Mike, I needed that report on my desk about alternate renewable energy sources and their impact on wildlife preserves this morning but it wasn't there."

"Sorry boss, but the Big Boss has me sifting through tweets because he's in a grumpy mood today"

"Oh, ok. That's a perfectly acceptable use of government time and resources. Anyways I need to get back to circling pictures of his hands"

Fake News, the EPA don't care
It continues

Uh .. "the Shooting Starts" isn't that basically saying, "the Army gun be blazin up in the joint"

Trump has been gaslighting America for 4 years, and it seems to get worse every catastrophic day.

I think I'm most disheartened at the fact that there seems to be no effective framework of accountability for such repugnant behaviour. I hope the elections prove me wrong this year, but I doubt it.

Seeing the white house defend the president by citing Khamenei and comparing the two is a sight to behold.

The defense has become "we're not worse than any other dictatorship".

In the meantime the CDC predicts 123,000 deaths likely by the end of June.

Thank God Americans have a twitter spat to keep their minds off that!

 twitter finally doing something about his tweets, and now he is at war with them. This is going to be great to watch play out.

Over 100000 dead from Covid 19. Armed White supremacists roaming the streets unchecked in Michigan, Racist police murdering black men with apparent impunity, Minneapolis on fire, record unemployment and the economy in the toilet.
Is America great again yet?

Depends who you ask

indeed - ask avenetti how going after trump went

Anyway Brendan Carr is a trump apointee (Commissioner - Federal Communications Commission) - seems to know which side of the argument he is on

That's just the tip of the iceberg. In every country, the politicians are recognising and fearing the power tech cos are yielding in terms of opinion making. They will sooner or later put curbs to control it. Twitter is just walking into it

indeed... zuckerberg might have been a coward wth his statement but a coward who knows when to hide from a fight and keep his money

I just want Twitter to keep flagging his tweets from now on. It can be their special way of saying "OK boomer"

I hear what y'all are saying, but don't we want these companies to do something?

Same because you just know it drives him crazy like nothing else.

Nothing will ever top McCain's thumbs down in front of McConnell though in terms of a giant FU in US politics. That was delicious

Thanks for reminding me

This is tricky for me. I don't really believe FB/Twitter/Google should have protection as they currently enjoy. The misinformation around the world basically exists purely because these companies refuse any responsibility for content and the ramifications (obviously, and ironically, Trump).

But, Trump sucks and any repudiation of him is a good thing.

So it's kind of a win win, whoever loses.

I hate twitter and Facebook, and I'd love to see the alternate version of 2020 where they didn't exist. I can't help but think it would be an infinitely less fecked up world. However, they are private companies and they get to make up their own terms and conditions of use. If people don't like the terms, they don't have to use them, and still maintain all their rights and freedoms. No company owes anyone a platform.
