Pogba gives the ball away too much
I feel you're really basing this largely on the Palace game where he did have quite a few sloppy passes. In most other games, his % completed in relation to the adventurous nature of his passing is more than good IMO.

Wouldn't call this an unpopular opinion, just a square one. Similar to a few months ago when 90% of the caf expected Jones to be gone.
Not really the Same. Can see Martial not enjoying life on the wing and getting less game time due to the arrival of specialist wingers. Then Zlatan goes to China and Mou signs another big name striker.

I think with Bailly at right back, Valencia at right wing and Mkhitryan on the left, we could solve 3 problems in the team at once.

Nah, no way. Valencia is excellent at RB right now but if there's one area he's still lacking, despite it being slightly improved compared to previous seasons, it's his delivery into the box. As a right back that's acceptable as long as you contribute enough in the build up - Evra was similar in not possessing a great final ball but still contributing a lot in attack - while as a right winger it becomes an issue. Bailly was good at RB but he's our best central defender, let's just play him there.

Our current run of good form is another false dawn, and our defence will be exposed the next time we face one of the top four.

Martial is going to leave in 2 seasons.
I said that his body language has been off all season, don't know if it's José or his personal life but he looks uninterested in playing for us. I got attacked by a few of the kids on here that I assume had just got Martial on their new kit:lol:

Wouldn't be calling people kids and acting like you've been justified when you've not even been proven to be right?

Been killing me for sometime, but Bastian should be a regular in our team. Bringing him on as a sub in Fellaini's role would be much more productive. Everyone has wrote him off, but he could give us something in those 10-15 minutes a game.

Griezmann will move to Juventus next summer, not United.

Well they acted like kids, but anyway I'd be the happiest one on here if I was wrong but it's almost 2 months since I posted that and I haven't seen much to encourage me since (apart from V Everton) but others are obviously seeing it now too.

They won't sign a £84m player, Higuain wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the world record fee they got from us.

They will revert to being stingy cnuts the next summer.

Valencia is great at right back and Mkhitryan has started playing great at right wing. So the only problem is left wing which Rooney is silently dominating. We're sorted.

Juventus are richer than you think. They can definitely afford the Griezmann price if they want.

I have a few reasons in my head to why Griezmann would pick Juventus over United, but the main one is that Juventus can guarantee trophies, which is something that United cannot.

Griezmann at this stage in his career wants trophies more than anything else. He's a world class player without a single notable trophy in his cabinet.

Probably not so unpopular opinion. All of Mourinho's decisions don't seem very rational.

I think Daley Blind is a brilliant footballer who should be a guaranteed starter for us. Lingard is also very underrated here. Antonio Valencia has gotten criticised for no reason in the past, the best South American player (for us) and one of the most professional foreign players we've ever had.

Depay is Obertan level bad, genuinely one of the worst signings we've ever made. Darmian is one of the most technically limited players in the PL.

This forum generally has an attitude against signing from mid-table Prem clubs, but I just think we have not signed the right players and physically talented players like Mané or Gueye would've been brilliant for us.

And Pogba loses the ball too easily and is often too soft and invisible. But on his day, he only does the good things (Like Nani) and then he is a fabulous player.

I won't dare to say anything negative about Patrice Evra, because he's being worshipped here. I'd have lots of unpopular opinions about him as a player.

He always looked like that. Its the problem with people of that personality. When things are going well it comes across as unfazed, but when things are going wrong it looks like they don't care.

Wasn't this the main talking point during the pogba saga as well? That he'd take less money and go to Madrid because of trophy potential?

I don't know and to be honest it doesn't matter, because Griezmann is a different person.

As I said Griezmann is 25, he will be 26 by the end of this season. He hasn't won a single notable trophy in his career. I think he will go to Juventus for that reason, but it's just an opinion.

That is incredible.

Loses the ball too easily - He has the most passes out of everyone in our team. In fact only Henderson has outpassed him in the whole league and Henderson has played more.

Too soft - I wont even bother with this.

Invisible - Like I said Most passes completed. Most aerial duels won .Most take-ons completed. Most chances created. If he invisible then you might want to go get yourself a pair of glasses.

I don't mean to be confrontational here but what does nationality have to do with professionalism?

He's brilliant at best but he was very underwhelming against Liverpool and average at best against Everton. Those two performances had plenty of times where the things I mentioned occurred. Against Hull I remember him being very frustrating too. And there has been other times. He did brilliantly or very well against Soton, Stoke, WBA, Leicester and Swansea at least. And he's been mostly good in UEL. Very good player but I still expect more from him.

Most past criticism of him was completely warranted - he was excellent in 2011/12 but had a few very average seasons afterwards.

Nothing really, bad choose of words only. Valencia just consistently does his job well year after year, and South American players have rarely achieved such longevity in the Premier League. He's one of my favourite players we've recently had in general and a great professional, wanted to put that to words. Nationality doesn't matter there.

That's fair, I just thought you were insinuating that foreign players tend to be unprofessional, which would've been a horrible generalisation.
My mistake!

I think 14/15 and especially last season he was better than his reputation. Him not being a (good) defender has been a common thing mentioned here, when he has been one of the defensively best full-backs in PL since LVG days. 12/13 was very underwhelming from him and 13/14 from pretty much everyone.

He's been alright since the LVG days, and has shown a decent improvement from what came before it, but I'd say this is the first year he's been consistently good when he's played. Put in plenty of okay performances at right-back at LVG but was also prone to some defensive feck-ups as well.

Hopefully out defenders will be fit by then anyway. Rojo and Jones would definitely be exposed.

He may as well go to Celtic then?

Juve as a club are clearly a huge club BUT at the end of the day Italy is a dead league. The only titles where a player would get that pride of being a winner are EPL/La Liga /Bundedsliga (with anyone other than Bayern)

Nah no chance in my opinion, ok he may not be coming to us or even moving, but he won't got to Juventus.

I don't think they can afford the fee it would cost, yes they may literally have the money but they won't spend it on a single transfer. Higuain was an exception due to the Pogba fund.

Also they sure as hell cant compete with the wages that we and other top clubs would offer a player like Griezmann.

I'm not convinced we'll even go for him cause I don't see where he fits into this 433 and I don't think Jose will shoe horn him in as he'll build the team around Pogba.

Pass completion is the most important factor in determining whether someone loses the ball a lot. Quantity isn't more valuable than quality.

There are a serious amount of self-entitled Utd fans on here that think their ideals are the ONLY ideals and we should all bow before them.

Healthy debate is dead.
