Is that a satire post? Why would a team likely to not even qualify for Europa League be in the mix for a player like him? Before even mentioning Pep, City’s playing style and current position. We no longer compete for the same players.I just cannot fathom why we are not even in the mix, he's exactly what we need.

based on our current position in the league, our form and fixtures. My point is we're far off from competing for the very best players. Is that?
Under which conditions would we also likely miss out on the Europa League?
I agree we aren't competing for the same calibre of player as top sides right now but I don't think there's much chance of us dropping to 7th place either.based on our current position in the league, our form and fixtures. My point is we're far off from competing for the very best players.
Ian, not sure how your maths are going, but we're 15 points in front of Everton, and they have three games to play.I agree we aren't competing for the same calibre of player as top sides right now but I don't think there's much chance of us dropping to 7th place either.
If we get 1 more win from either city, Chelsea, huddersfield or Cardiff, then it would take Everton to beat spurs away plus win their other 2 fixtures to overtake us.
And that's also assuming we get beat in the other 3 fixtures.
Yes every single random tweet about bizarre transfer target causes an outrage to someone on here. No idea when they will learn to take it all with a pinch of salt...We are after Rice according to who? The papers? Do people believe everything they read.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but if we had let Sanchez join City and signed Mahrez we'd have made top 4 this year no problem.I for one am absolutely shocked that this is the way this transfer has gone. There was simply no way anyone could have predicted this was going to happen, right?
Probably, but it was fairly widely reported at the time, and I even think our resident Leicester fan on here said that Mahrez only wanted to go to City, so that was dead before it began for us.Hindsight is a wonderful thing but if we had let Sanchez join City and signed Mahrez we'd have made top 4 this year no problem.

Some are in for a real rude awakening if they think Fernandes, Ndombele, Neves, AWB or any of these others are going to come in and "Die for the cause" or any of that shite, Patrice Evra was not the norm. These players with zero connection to our club are coming for the money, they aren't coming because we are competing for anything or because we are a well run operation, most players see this as a job, it's nothing more than that for most of them, this fantasy of a team of "warriors" needs to end, but it wont because no matter who we sign the biggest rotten apple at the club is sitting pretty in his job despite being inept at it.
Liverpool, City, Spurs have players that work hard and most of them have no conection with the team.... What I am talking about is the lack of desire that some of our players shows and that isnt the norm, players come for paycheck but should work hard for it, I am not exopecting them to be in love with the shirt but at least they should give all they have in the pitch. Isnt too much asking?

Those sides are actually competing which is a huge motivator, we've been stuck in a cycle of ineptitude for so long that I think it has dashed the faith of many players that the leaders at the club know what they are doing, it feels like it needs incredible man management skills here and we have no idea if Ole really has those.Liverpool, City, Spurs have players that work hard and most of them have no conection with the team.... We aren't getting mentioned with him at all, usually there's a little smoke if there is some fire. Our constant links are to the British bunch and the Portuguese Lampard. How do you know that we are not?

We beat them to Fred and Sanchez unless you buy into the tinfoil hat conspiracy nonsense about them suckering us into buying those players. Once we stop going for the likes of Rodri and accept the likes of Rice we are accepting forever trundling along behind them. Also we have mathematically already qualified for the EL I think you'll find.Is that a satire post? Why would a team likely to not even qualify for Europa League be in the mix for a player like him? There is no way in a million years that they would sell him, never mind to us. They'll probably sell Zappacosta and have James as their second choice RB.(He's under contract until 2022...)Tweet

Isn't that the guy that isn't good enough for us?Tweet

I still don't get it - why would PSG let him leave ?Tweet

Meunier makes much more sense than either, he wont be as overpriced as the 2 English players and he's got the experience.Tweet

He'll be in the last year of his contract.I still don't get it - why would PSG let him leave ?
I understand that he rarely produce the type of performances we have seen from him on big occasions where «the whole worlds» been watching. Never played more than 1700 min for PSG in Ligue 1. In other words, never a regular. I like him but I have not seen him on a regular basis.I still don't get it - why would PSG let him leave ?
Contract is running out, so sell him before he can leave on a free.I still don't get it - why would PSG let him leave ?
