Vidic and Evra style signings. I think we are going to see a very energetic and dynamic side this year. Young and Mata as the guardians rather than key players.

We all love United
They have all been briefed we are going for AWB and Maguire at whatever the cost. I believe we will eventually get both and all is just posturing from both the selling clubs and us

He is 19. We don't know much about him, but hope some scout has done his job.
He's a fantastic player. One, along with De Ligt who has been talked about by scouts for a while. There are so many like this with potential and offered for small amounts of money. Glad to hear United linked but he's definitely going to AC Milan, because we're too late. Ben Godfrey at Norwich and Adam Webster at Bristol City are the two I'd for if we're into the whole "save money AND buy British" thing. Both would do well in the Premier League.

Very rare you can do both things

Well it's a difficult job pushing the "Ole goes British" narrative the media have created without looking like a complete arse if/when we buy someone like Bruno
Halfway through the window it does check out though with a Welsh lad in, and two English boys seemingly lined up next.

Except our interest in Maguire far predates it all and judging by the most recent reports it seems Bruno is more likely to be our 3rd in than Maguire. Don't get what the fuss is about either way. Loads of clubs have a core from their own country. Loads on here wants us to be more like Ajax well this is one step in that direction.

I don’t think it’s a bad thing to want that core group either. Just don’t think we’re targeting the best British talent, which makes it a risky bet.

Haha, journalists are quick to brandish one English signing as an evidence for policy of signing British players.
You can tell that United are planning on buying British this summer by the way they're about to buy a British player. Is this a hint about future purchases also being British this summer? Probably, but also maybe not. Send tweet.

Think Overmars is the DOF and VDS is the CEO, something like that.

Either way for sure, whoever in charge there is doing a great job.
Watch this. He explains how Ajax operate and how they collectively help run the club.

So basically all we have to do is be better than Arsenal next season for top 4.
Naive to think they won’t be in the running for top 4. They have huge talent coming back from loan. In today’s market, players coming back are easily worth over £300m.

Anyone else reckon £50m up front and a 50% sell on would suit all parties?

(Including fans on here).
£50m isn't going to get us a decent replacement in this market. What if they don't sell him or he runs his contract down?
