Pretty brilliant really - if there was ever a time for the Dems to become the party of patriots (again) - now is the time to take that self assumed mantle from the Repubs. They should milk it for all its worth - become the only party that has America's best interests at heart.

For anyone that doubts if the entire Republican party is compromised.

It seems so impossibly counterintuitive for this to be allowed to happen.

But then money talks in the USA more than anywhere else on the planet.

Here's hoping some more indictments come tomorrow, Friday funday.
Indeed. And hope it's a big one too (like the rest wasn't--but the Repubs have had it too easy to distract and deflect to those not really paying attention on a daily basis ). Hope the ones that truly hit home aren't far off. Roger Stone has become so expected its almost hard to get excited about that one.

Clapper just said on CNN parts of this article are not accurate. Pathetic thing is Cooper had Rosenberg (co-author of this story) live on the show right after Clapper was on and he failed to ask Rosenberg about it.

There's not much Cooper could've asked him about since Clapper didn't stipulate what specifically was wrong.

He could have asked Rosenberg if he still stands by the story or his reaction to Clapper claim that it was inaccurate.

I'm sure he would stand by it since they generally go by multiple sources before proceeding to publish, so even if someone like Clapper shows up after the fact and says something in the article is wrong, the reporters can claim they heard the information from multiple sources.

No doubt Trump's lackeys will be using this as a talking point in the coming days to cast shadows on the stories relating to the Russia investigation.

While Trump distracts the worlds media with his daily nonsense, the GOP/GRU will be doing everything possible behind the scenes to strengthen their position while they have the chance. There'll be plenty going on we don't know about.

Now in the correct thread:

The Astonishing Tale of the Man Mueller Just Indicted
One of the most shocking revelations from the special counsel’s investigation is the suggestion that Paul Manafort’s longtime aide is a pawn of Russian intelligence.

n the early years of the century, as Paul Manafort made his way across Moscow and Kiev, he was followed by a diminutive man. With a generous slackening of the tape, the man measured just above 5 feet. This made for a striking contrast in physical frames, because Manafort and his expansive shoulders crowd a room. It also made the pair an almost slapstick spectacle. But over time, Manafort and the smaller man, his aide-de-camp, began to converge in appearance. The aide started to dress like his boss, buying expensive suits cut in a similar style. He would mimic his mentor’s habits, using the same car service to shuttle through the cobblestone streets of the Ukrainian capital in the same model BMW. He would come to earn the title “Manafort’s Manafort.”

Trump would do well to fire Giuliani. Can't believe this is the legendary lawyer that took on the Mafia. Age is affecting him.

CNN saying there are more recordings. And Trump did not know he was being taped. Seems the leak is from Giuliani.
@Raoul is it not illegal for a newspaper to pay for a story and bury it during a campaign?

The Enquirer did it regularly it seems. I don't think its illegal since they paid for the rights and aren't technically obliged to follow through with publishing it once its acquired.

Is this a more common practice than most people realize? I wonder what else is currently buried only to be released later.
