fecks sake

Wasn't the draw exactly the same as the rehearsal last year, or was that a later stage? Either way the odds of it happening again must be ridiculous :nervous:

Yeah think it was the last 16

Draw rehearsal saw us in a group with Juventus, Dortmund & Real Sociedad...
Porto was drawn with PSG, City, and Real Sociedad.

Something on the wrong here, what's the source?

A group of Juve, Dortmund and Sociedad would be mental
We could get Paris, Dortmund, and Napoli...

EDIT: No we can't, two Italian teams... :houllier:
Bayern
Atletico
City
Napoli

Marseilles, Basel and Vienna please and thanks.
Schalke, Olympiakois, Plzen would be the dream group.
Don't worry I hope United get PSG, Dortmund and Napoli.
Will take PSG, Dortmund and Napoli
Bayern, PSG and Napoli for City. Come on UEFA, make it happen.
I want Marseille, Ajax and Anderlecht.
Schalke, Basel, Celtic.
Dortmund, Leverkusen or Schalke, please

Serious prediction: CSKA Moscow, Galatasaray & Anderlecht
Since I'm not expecting us to win it in Moyes' first year in charge, I'd actually enjoy a really exciting, tough group. Something like

United
PSG
Dortmund
Napoli

...would be amazing. The sort of matches the Champions League is all about.
I predict Atletico Madrid, Ajax & Celtic.
Biscuit for whoever gets it right. My guess is:

Manchester United
Paris St. German
Bayer Leverkusen
Real Sociedad

Tough group, I reckon we're due one.

I think City will have it pretty rough again, but they'll get one of the easiest Pot 4 teams and get the 6 Points.
United
Shakhtar Donetsk
Olympiakos Piraeus
Napoli
Schalke, Olympiakos and Austia Vienna best draw?
CSKA MOSCOW
GALATASARAY
REAL SOCIEDAD
PSG
Galatasaray
Viktoria Plzen/Maribor
Ill go for
United
CSKA Moscow
Ajax
Copenhagen
Manchester United
Atletico Madrid
Borussia Dortmund
Austria Vienna
Given our luck of late with cup draws I wouldn't be at all surprisd to get PSG, Dortmund and Napoli!
do me
Olympique Marseille

Olympiakos Piraeus
Anderlecht
Manchester United
Juventus
Bayer Leverkusen
Anderlecht
Manchester United
Schalke
Ajax
Anderlecht
I'd like:

PSG
Basel
Copenhagen
Juve, Leverkusen and Plzen

My prediction
Juve, Leverkusen, Austria Vienna is my prediction.

EDIT- Hernandez-BFA
I'd love to play Juve, though I'd much rather it in the knockout stages, could be a classic. I'm also really hoping we draw Leverkusen, been over a decade since we played them.

Anyway, I'm going with:

Atletico Madrid
Bayern Leverkusen
Anderlecht

Do not fecking want Galatasary, can't stand the cnuts and don't want to be travelling there. Would be well up for a Celtic clash.
Man United
Juve
Bayer L
Real Sociedad
Manchester United
PSG
Ajax
København
Man United
Milan
Olympiacos
Sociedad
United
Atlético Madrid
Dortmund
Napoli
DEADLINE PASSED !!!

Have you been particularly unlucky? When?

Let's just hope we avoid some of the Russian/Ukraine ones, always dodgy away matches in frozen conditions

I hate playing there. Shit games. Usually, unless the away trip is early in the season.

Anybody else hoping that the draw won't be too kind to us?

As much as I want us to go through the group stages and finish 1st, I think it'd be better for Moyes to get some difficult fixtures early.

I'd prefer us to get through easy. Would be fun to face a few big hitters though.

Have always thought the thing that worked against us in recent years was ridiculously easy groups. Nothing too hard but enough to help build confidence by beating someone decent.

Milan, ajax, anderlecht would be challenging but good group

Not that bothered who we get, get an easy draw and it will be OH look United with an easy group has always, we get a hard group and it just be OH look no SAF so United don't get the favours any more, both stupid statements but I have already heard it from some City fans.

Sure.. except I don't give a feck about what everybody else thinks and I'm guessing you don't either.

My reasoning is about giving Moyes and the team a confidence boost (if they even need one) and mostly giving Moyes the opportunity to experience how the top teams may set up against us and how to go about playing these teams.

If we were to get to the latter stages of the competition, I think a difficult group will prove to have been beneficial. New managers/teams in Europe always talk about the difficulty, how they made mistakes, how it's all new to them - it could just be bollocks and excuses, or not.

But for me, throwing Moyes a little towards the deep end could help in the long run - we can't get the likes of Bayern, Madrid or Barcelona.
