I agree it's a huge huge call- even on here you can see people are still split even with most pro Ole you still have the supporters of Pochettino too
If whoever we appoint permanently gets off to a poor start/ makes questionable signings (that are clearly their decision not influenced by Ed) if its Ole as manager you'll get people saying it should have been Pochettino as he has the most experience, if its Pochettino as manager you'll get the people asking why didn't they appoint Ole who had already raised the morale.
I would say Pochettino is more of a risk and if you appoint him instead of Ole you potentially risk an even more toxic atmosphere than with Jose in his third season from the fans as they will be questioning why did they break something that potentially wasnt broken. I wasn't expecting Ole to do so well but hes done such a fantastic job hes almost put pressure on the next manager should it not be himself.
He speaks like a United manager, despite the injuries I haven't once heard him moan, the way he says United should be challenging for trophies its what you want to be hearing, even tonight when I think unfortunately we have too much to do especially with the injuries what he said yesterday has just given that flicker of hope.
I know a lot of the people on here go to the games but it would be interesting to know of the season ticket holders what split of them is pro Ole and which is pro Pochettino.
I think picking anyone but those 2 would be a huge mistake.
It would be interesting to see their transfer targets, I think Ole would be looking at your less "Hollywood " type signings, more your Andy Robertson types and look how that's turned out for Liverpool. Pochettino would be interesting as we haven't seen him with money.
Also would Ole be able to cope with the pressure of being the permanent manager of United? At the moment he almost has nothing to lose, keep winning and emhe puts the pressure on to make him the next permanent manager, if he hadn't done as well as he has people would still blame Jose, being temporary manager has a lot less pressure to being permanent one, Jose left us in such a state he wasnt expected to do well with our apparently downed tools squad. Could Ole cope with the pressure of challenging on all 3 fronts for trophies which is where we hope to be back to?
