 I hope he never leaves, imagine showing that much anger over Paul Pogba.

The older generation really do hate him, don't they? So sensitive.
He’s been here 4 seasons now, why do the “other” generations think he’s still gonna come good? Think I’ve got 2 confirmed bets Ole remains till the end of the season, anyone want to go that this waster does the same?

Pogba is like the David Luiz. Great attributes but not a specialist in any position which makes him a liability in games where fine margins are important. He must just make up his mind and perfect attributes needed for that one position he wants to play. Like better ball retention if he wants to play CM or improve close control and goals if he wants to be a AM.

To be fair, we're the only team he's played for that allegedly hasn't found a position for him yet.

If you only disliked him for on the field reasons I'd maybe have some respect for your opinion on him, but you clearly don't. Calling him a "ponce", a word that's from about 40 years is just one of the embarrassing comments you've made regarding him. Although keep it up, it's quite funny watching you meltdown.

I wanted him in the first place so don’t know why everyone that wants to defend this clown has to abuse the poster.

Love him, his personality reminds me of my friends growing up. I think he wants Madrid, but I think he also wants to he the highest paid. Sanchez leaving probably helped

He's predictably miles and miles ahead of his teammates. It's not even close. After not playing for 3 months for him to look like that, it's ridiculous how far behind the rest of our squad is.

A class above.

No doubt Neville and Souness will find an if, or a but to pass the blame.

As said, one leg and a blindfold and he’d still be better than Lingard.

That is what a good midfielder actually looks like.

Our fans, especially, the top reds tend to be clueless when it comes to football as they can't see anything past players running around a lot.

As mentioned previously, Pogba is clearly more threatening from deeper positions, making ridiculous long passes to create chances, with occasional late run into the box. This is much more efficient and effective than asking him to start up front as a no. 10 and making simple layoff to his teammates, whom eventually lose the ball. This game once again proves these theories and Fred and McTominay could never replace his role.

But McFred?
McFred should stay in midfield behind Pogba.

The issue is bringing on Pogba after 3 months out, 2-0 down and then taking off McTominay to play Juan 'whatever he does, doesn't' Mata.

Absolute shambles.

Top reds tend to be English. They prefer running, flying tackles and a lot of huff and puff. Technical ability isnt something they like, they also dont need it since they prefer long balls at a big strong target man.

Did you watch the game? We switched the midfield formation once he came on. Fred was the holding midfielder. Ole knows he can't play in the #10. We need to replace either Fred or McT with a holding midfielder.

Mata did nothing wrong tbh, although he is finished.

What a load of old bollocks. I’ve know idea how this sort of thing goes unchallenged on here.

This. So many useless players get a free ride in the PL because they look busy.

Passion and Desire might be two of the most empty phrases in football.

It is the impression i got from my years reading this forum. Mostly older English people though.

English football culture but it is changing now. Look at older English managers their tactics, look at young English players before this generation... it is all about being big, tall, strong and running. It is a totally different approach compared to the Dutch or Spanish approach to football.

How else do you explain the hatred for Pogba and the love for McT?

Think it only took 25 mins to dispel the ridiculous notion that he should come back as some sort of squad player. ‘IF, and that’s a big IF’ he ever returned at all of course.

Someone already pointed it out, forgot to take international into account.
And you are not totally wrong because it wasn't actually easy to find the ideal role, mainly because in France he has also been overrated there was a point where he was seen as some sort of messiah and if it wasn't for Deschamps's pragmatism I bet that it would still be the case. France were lucky that Kanté and Griezmann appeared in roles that fits with him and then wide players also appeared in Coman, Dembélé and Mbappé to the point where there is too many options.

I was wrong. The guy is devastating in an advanced role. Should be allowed to play everywhere he chooses with McFred kept in their places. Paul can drop deeper to bring out the ball, move to the left, run into the box. He gives us that unpredictability we are missing. Extremely hard to defend against.
