City have really turned a corner last 2 games and with both aguero and tevez scoring again, i dont think they'l be dropping too many points. We'l either need to get a point or 3 at City or win all our remaining games i think.

Personally, am pretty confident of getting a result at the etihad.

I just had a visit from the Ghost of Football Matches Future.

He assured me Newcastle are going to beat City. In fact, he took me to the game. I cant give you any more details tho as I dont want to cause any suspicious betting patterns.

But all of you who are panicking can now chill out. We will take at least a point when we play City and they will also lose against Newcastle. Although I dont know what will happen in any of the other games.
You wouldn't want to need City to drop points after the Etihad game, but them going away to a Newcastle team aiming for CL football is a harder game than any we have ahead.

As has been said countless times, if we don't win it it will be down to us not deserving it, pure and simple.

The last match won't necessarily be treated all that seriously if we've already won the League before it starts, as it would in Cold_Boy's scenario. I wouldn't be surprised if we dropped points in it, nor would I be all that bothered about it.
This.

Thats why i put it as a draw.

City were down and out so they played with no pressure. Suddenly they are back in it and the pressure will return.

Definitely. We'll be ahead after the Etihad game, which we'll draw - I even think we might win it, wtf not. And then we just have to see the games out, but they'll drop points at Newcastle.

For us to have to get 3 points at City we'd have to lose all our remaining games. Do you really think it's even remotely possible for us to lose to Everton and Swansea at home and then get beaten by Sunderland?

That's a good point. People say that they now have no pressure, but if they really find their way back into the title race then that won't be true. The pressure will soon return.

Can't take anything for granted now. Good teams can easily win four games and if City do that we will have no room for error.

They looked like they were down and exhausted after the Arsenal game, seem to have found a second wind after our loss at Wigan

We have a 5 point cushion so there's some room for error, instead of no room as suggested! can't take it for granted but we can afford to lose/draw whereas City can't.

City have definitely got a second wind from our defeat against Wigan. We have to assume they'll win all of their matches, which means we have to win three of the final four (assuming no points vs City).

Needing wins against Everton & Swansea at home, then Sunderland away - I'd like to think we'd do it.

Thats what we thought about Wigan as well. Those games are going be be tougher than we think, as the pressure will only increase. Same goes for City though, and Newcastle will be tricky

Going by form I'd put Everton in yellow and Wolves away to green.

I like the pictures of the two managers. SAF is applauding whereas Mancini is yelling. Who's under pressure?! lol

Not a complete cock, just really young.
It should be remembered that on Sunday we SHOULD be eight points clear for a spell, meaning they'll be at Molineux knowing they absolutely must win. Assuming they do, which they should, they'll still be playing us knowing this is their best chance to get themselves back into the title race, that's another must win game for them, they'll know they'll have to win it, and the longer the game stays level (which I believe to be important), the more they'll get nervy and the more they'll force the affair, leaving gaps in their defence.

As long as we beat Everton I can't see us not winning it. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we go to their place and win it there.

That's the spirit.

For all the talk of pressure, when it comes down to it they will be under massive pressure in that derby game. It should play into our hands.

When this was produced, looking at Wigan's form and our record against them, green made sense. Luckily, in a way, football doesn't work that way.
There is that, but they are a team fighting for their survival, which is what the 'amber' is supposed to represent. I expected Wigan away to be tougher than Wolves and they made the amber list.

May I suggest you read my post again!

"Good teams can easily win four games and if City do that we will have no room for error."

If City win four they are only two points back with a better GD IF we win the other three....THEREFORE we have "no room for error". ;)

Really hope Newcastle stay right in the mix for 4th, now that there is no difference between 5th and 6th...
They play Stoke at home next which they should win, hopefully they'll get a result at Wigan as well. Chelsea at Stamford will be tough for them but even if they lose there they'll still be in for the 4th when they play City if they can get 4 points against Wigan and Stoke.

But in that case we already made an error, by losing to City.

The thought of us not winning the title at this point is so unbearable and I cannot wait for Sunday to come and go. I know we can get a result against City but, would feel infinitely better if we go into the game with our current 5 point lead (or better).

If we beat Everton I think we will get something at City which will do us, I'll be very worried if we dropped points on Sunday though.

Based on what?

If the gap is five points when we play City and they win its a two point gap with an inferior GD. Say we both win the following week, would you really feel 100% confident on the last day of the gap was only two points and we had to win away to Sunderland?

United are still favorites but it wouldn't take much for City to snatch it from us.

Not yet. I wouldn't get so ahead of yourself. If we then lose to City, then the gap is only 2 points and it certainly wouldn't be over then. Unless we win and City lose I wouldn't say it's over yet, but City have Wolves. Even taking surprise results into account, Wolves have been playing so poorly that it would probably be a guaranteed result for the Man City under 12s.

The decider is the City game for sure, if we get a point there then I think it is safe to say we win the league. If we lose, then the last game of the season will be really hard and it could go either way, seeing as Sunderland under O'neill at home as well, is a very good team. If you offered me this scenario at the start of the season I think everyone would take it, every year.

Well, City play Newcastle away before that and it'll be a very tough game for them. I'd say Newcastle are a much tougher opposition than Sunderland.
