managing Charlton.
You cant compete because you are living beyond your means. You cant sustain it with the players you have. Blackpool cant generate enough income to keep your idea of competing with only 89/90 players. You are living in dreamland really.
I will show all you doubters next season, when i reach division1. My dreamland will become reality.:keano:

And then you'll get destroyed, and be sent back to Division 2 in even more debt. Pompey MK II.

I'm not doubting you, I'm doubting your picture of an ideal team you appear to be complaining you cant sustain. Thinking you can ONLY compete with the 89/90 players.

If you actually monitored your finances from the off you'd be fine. Set a benchmark as to max outgoing wages and dont go over it. So what if you cant compete and have a big squad, that is like real life. Work with what you got or turn into Pompey.

Yep. What Omar is doing now is disappointing, especially after we've spent a few hours discussing what would be best for his team in the future.

What Mr A above said is spot on.

Talking about Omars finances made me look at mine, and it turns out I'm losing 100k every home/away turn.:nervous: Thats 3.8 million loss a year. I have 3.6M in bank.
Yep I'm losing a bit too. Hope being promoted means I start earning more in gate receipts or else I'll probably have to sell one player to stop going into the red.

to be honest, If a club goes into that much trouble going forward, maniak should set a limit of how much they can go into the red. If they decide to quit then the club is in utter shit for anyone coming in as a new manager. Omar isnt in that much trouble yet, but he appears reluctant to face things that many of us are pointing out to him.

If it is similar to this season then our gate receipts will go up from around £17 per ticket to £20 and the TV revenue'll go up to around £456k from £193k which is pretty good. I'd imagine the money from Sponsor and Merchandise would go up as well.

If it stays at 100k every home/away turn, I should be grand. A cup run should cover some of that cost no bother.

Yep. There should definitely be a limit as to how much a club can be in the red, but also how long they're allowed stay in the red. But can maniak see each teams finances? If not, the only way to monitor would be to force everyone to post a screenshot of their finances weekly, but some people may not want to do that, as it shows other teams how much cash they have.

How are you even defining "mid-thirties?"

If it's starting at 33, then I've got all of one player that old, same as you.

If it's starting at 32, then I've got all of TWO players that old, and the 2nd is Xavi, ffs.

Maybe if I had the sheikh's money behind me, I'd spunk millions on a couple dozen twenty year-olds in the hope that one or two pan out as well.

Dinosaurs ruled the Earth, then failed to adapt to changing conditions.

Sounds more like you spunking a 10 point lead and ending up fourth, tbh.
You should have more respect; you're talking to a man who was once considered the best manager of all time.

Mine is a team of the future whilst your's is the team of yesteryear; one or two injuries and you've got 70's on the bench.

:lol::lol::lol:

Good luck in the cups next season!

Dinosaurs were killed by Elvis.

Elvis Araujo, an 81-rated Brazilian midfielder who'll be in Benfica's first team this year.

Anyway, on to more important things than cider, was there a contest I missed out on? First there was Stoke's acquisition of Cuntz, now this:

Could someone(Damien) provide me with a quick list of who's left in the play off's?

Want to re-call my loans but make sure I don't re-call from teams who still have games.
