Skysports "understand" Moyes will announce Thiago's signing in today's press conference.

"I have in my hand a piece of paper..."

"Unfortunately I cannot tell you its content due to a few minor details waiting to be resolved."

It is also thought Moyes may also use his press conference to announce the signing of 22-year-old Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara with a deal reportedly very close

I'm so excited about the potential of signing Thiago that I would actually be disappointed if we brought Messi or Ronaldo instead and that sh*t doesn't even make sense!!

Barcelona haven't received and offer yet? :O

feck sake Moyes, what are you playing at?

In fairness he's probably having the be taught what a transfer is after all those years at Everton.

You don't really need to make an offer if there is a buy-out clause. I think barca are just gesticulating.

Yep, he probably still has his Everton calculator and it only has room for 7 digits.

When sky sports understand something you know shits got real. Unfortunately that article is according to report and they do not understand.

Someone in the newbs said he only needs a basket because he won't be in Spain long

The not receiving an offer thing is a bit of a red herring, I suspect, because they say they haven't received a formal approach. I'm sure United - and probably other teams - have spoken to Barca about a fee and possible made them aware that they intend activating his clause, if a move can be agreed.

It's gone mental in the newbie Thiago thread. They're at each others throats. Already one fatality.

He posted another picture with friends; clearly a going away party.

Aye, it's all just clever wording. Our work did it when the papers released the story about us getting sold. 'There is no formal agreement in place.' Well yeah, but you are discussing it.

I miss the newbie section. Wish I had just viewing access so I could see witness the chaos from afar. The speed in which people would get banned and banished during my newbie-stint was truly wonderful.

Good times.
