I think its best for Giggs to stay at the club under a different manager. He seems to have become Moyes'd, a new system may make him see things differently.

Laughable from Giggs once again. Two weeks in a row now he's picked horrific starting XIs.

I have no worries about saying this either: he hasn't a clue (regarding managerial qualities).

'Jobs for the boys' stuff once again. Scandalous.

Giggs would probably do ok if someone came in beforehand and gutted the squad. He obviously can't use his brain effectively when it comes to critically assessing them.

He took over because there was 4 games to go, and we couldn't get top 4 anyways. It's just till the end of the season.

Laughable.

Giggs (luckily) wins handsomely against a no-mark Norwich last week - he's a genius. He's losing against a well-organised side today - he's been Moyesed.

Get to feck. He's totally out of his depth here. His undermining of the previous management makes him a morally bankrupt individual (as if we needed reminding of that anyway, but I digress). He's getting his just-desserts today.

 Of course he's out of his depth. He's managed one game in his career. Moyes on the other hadn't the slightest clue despite managing a top side PL club for 10 years.

The previous management was hideous and lead by an arsehole. He was right to undermine them.

Thankfully, Woodward won't leave our players the opportunity to "undermine" Giggs himself, as we're about to employ a coach with tactical knowledge, that isn't Moyes or Giggs. I can't wait.

How can he. He's played with most of them for 10 years, if anyone thought he'd do anything other than pick his mates they are deluded.

Why in holy feck has he just subbed Juan Mata off when we are chasing the game? fecking ludicrous.

Not really sure where that is but i'll give it a go. But either it was a half joke about the Moyes'd thing, Fergie did this a lot too and Giggs has constantly said he wants to use width. Its his tactics. But I do think its good for him to hang about in some capacity to at least learn a different way of football. I can imagine Van Gaal is very different to what he's experienced before, be good learning experience for him for a few years as long as he doesn't kick off behind the scenes if he doesn't like it.

Giggs is no Guardiola. He'll have us playing the dull football we've been playing for the past 5 years. The only one who can get away with that brand of football is Fergie because at least he knows how to win trophies. No thanks. LVG all day.

Funnily the most annoying thing I find about Giggs so far has been picking Rio 'hoofball' Ferdinand ahead of Smalling.

It just stinks of 'pick all my mates'.

Rio needs to be shown the door.

Alternatively, wins meaningless home game against a side with the worst away record in the league and he should get the job full time.

Not as amazing as the clamor for him to get the full time job after winning a meaningless game.

Equally we beat the team with the worst form in the league and he's suddenly got United playing like "United".

Also was Mata playing badly? Or did Giggs just take him off?

When you behave unprofessionally by undermining your boss in order to usurp him in the hotseat, subsequently 'leak' to all who'll print your stories that you're "ready" for the job full-time, and then fall flat on your face by picking horrific starting XIs and making bizarre substitutions, you're going to expect some criticism.

I've never said that. And it's all pointless anyway. Van Gaal is our next manager.
You may not have said that, but plenty of people here want him to get the job based on nothing.

Anyway, I hope you're right.

I hope next gem he just says feck it and plays a lot of the youngsters as we literally have nothing to play for now.

How many people here are genuinely asking him to take over here?
A very small majority I think.

There'd be no need for criticism if idiots had not put forward this 'guardiola' shit. It should have been made plain by the club that Giggs would not be taking the job.
The fact that sentimentalists on here went along with that shit is hilarious.

Giggs is too close to the players, seemingly picking the team based on who he knows best. He needs to learn management somewhere else.

Hopefully that's the end of the "Hire Giggs" nonsense by people in the press, former players and fans.

At least it will dispel this notion that all we need is someone to motivate the troops and get the best out of them. Absolutely no good reason for an abject performance today, if it's not lack of quality or tactical preparation.

Needs to learn management first, gain a bit of experience and then come back.

This should be the end of the 'Giggs to be next manager' movement. Keep him as assistant, maybe give him a chance after LVG.

I watched the game for the final 10/15 minutes. Absolute dross stuff, the only moment of note was them hitting the bar. If anything I hope this result rules out the nonsense that Giggs should be our next manager.

Any small hope Giggs had of becoming the next permanent manager ended when he took Mata off and left Fletcher on the pitch.

Yes I've been. You get two or three people who will have different opinion but most want him as an assistant manager to LVG.

Awful stuff from him.

Valencia and Young on the wings.

Then making subs and having three strikers on the pitch, pushing Januzaj right out wide, and leaving Carrick and fletcher as the main creators in the middle. It made no sense to sacrifice a creative body in the middle (mata) for an overload of strikers.

No Kagawa or Januzaj starting.

To be elected I guess given it's his 2nd game but I think people need to stop building him up so much. I'm not even sure he's destined to manage us the way a lot feel. It's based on nothing.

I think the poll was something like 2 to 1.

Was surprised he picked Young and also started with both Carrick and Fletcher in midfield, with regards to Giggs he is not ready to take over and we need LVG ASAP.
