The punishment is way harsher than I expected, but I think FIFA got it pretty right this time. The punishment is harsh enough to have real impact, but still decent enough to give him a way back. If he does it again, his career will be pretty much over.
I think the Antohan´s argument is, that if you are socialised in uruguay (or another country in south america), you are usually more collectively oriented. Thats just a widely acknowledged fact, that explains the behaviour of the Uruguayan FA/lawyers/suarez.
I think, that there are very good arguments to criticise this attitude, but that´s another discussion.
