New Vegas was glitchy as f*ck too.
I take it you played on PS3 too? I had to stop playing halfway because it ran like shit on the PS3 and wouldnt let me progress any further -_- Skyrim also was very bad for me...I hope they manage to release a non buggy game this time

Maybe you should look at some of the posts below mine on the last page from Berbaclass and Randall who agreed...

But no I didnt mean just me, its quite a common view which I've read on gaming sites like Neogaf and Reddit. Many people consider Obsidian to be better than Bethesda at implementing RPG elements to their games.

I left New Vegas for ages as I heard it wasn't that much different to Fallout 3, and I was at uni so didn't have much time. It was fecking difficult as I loved Fallout 3 - one of my favourite games of all time.

I eventually got the New Vegas Ultimate Edition, with all the DLC. It was fecking brilliant. It was more polished/patched/refined then it had been on first release, I could jump straight into the DLC and as there was about a four year gap for me between playing the two games, I didn't find it too samey or repetitive at all.

I think Fallout 3 was more memorable and groundbreaking for me at the time, but I found New Vegas the better game.

Anyway, I'm fecking pumped for this.

I wonder if we will get a release date tomorrow. Usually its a year between reveal and release for Bethesda games...but apparently Todd Howard said that they are looking to shorten the reveal/release time. Maybe end of 2015? It's been 4 years since Skyrim...so they've had plenty of time

Skyrim Reveal December 2010 - Release Novemeber 2011
Fallout 3 Reveal June 2007 - release October 2008
Oblivion Reveal May 2005 - Release March 2006
I doubt it'll be this year, I reckon we're more likely to see Doom, Dishonoured HD, or even Dishonoured 2. Maybe though.

Thing is, if it is cross-gen, they really haven't got much time to capitalize. Last gen sales of games on next gen too have been terrible lately, it's barely worth doing, you know it when the new COD and Ubisoft games aren't bothering with last gen.

I wouldn't be surprised if cross-gen is announced and the game is for 2016, then later on they cancel (or atleast delay) the last gen games. By then though the damage will have already been done unfortunately.

I actually played New Vegas before I played 3.As others have said the factions, the way the world reacts to your decisions the sort of wacky humour it has are all great.

Fallout 3 is just incredible though. The atmosphere alone makes it a better game.A lot of the monsters we're genuinely frightening and I actually loved the metro's creepiness even if it was a bit confusing. The location was so much better aswell. All the major locations in Washington are there unlike the disappointed realisation of Las Vegas.

Not interested in the slightest until it's confirmed Bethesda aren't developing it themselves. Skyrim & Fallout 3 are vapid, empty, soulless experiences which rank as two of my most overrated games of all time.

Looking forward to this... Skyrim was my first Bethesda game and I really loved that, but I couldn't go back to the older ones because everything seemed just old and not smooth. Played fallout a bit but it was too clunky to keep playing considering I got it a few years too late.

Shit, now I know how people feel when I tell them I can't get into Morrowind.

Blasphemy! I easily spent over 300 hours on Oblivion/Skyrim and Fallout 3. :( I enjoy games like these along with the Mass Effect and GTA series where you can just get out and explore.

I have to agree. Yet to play New Vegas as I just couldn't get myself to do it after the disappointment that Fallout 3 was. I'll give it a go before 4 comes out though.

But yeah, it would be great if Bethesda didn't develop it. Obsidian, for example, could do so much more with Fallout, they might make a game that has some resemblance to the first two which were the greatest games of all time.

Fallout 3 was kind of a hollow experience in the end. For the first 20 hours or so it seems truly amazing. Then you kind of twig how formulaic it all is and it loses a lot of the shine. Bit like Oblivion.

Hopefully with 4 they'll keep the fun run-n-gun & exploring bits, but structure it so it doesn't just feel like you're ticking off a big checklist.

Bought Fallout New Vegas for the 360 right now. This announcement better not be a fallout 3/new Vegas remaster

I might have to play both of these again. Might buy the GOTY New Vegas version and play through that.

To be fair, I got more into Oblivion when I tried playing it then I did with Fallout 3... I think I just like the Elder Scrolls setting more then Fallout, which just felt like a wasteland and was a bit boring.

Holy shit it's real. That screenshot is beautiful. It's just artwork though right? There's another pic I've seen of the dog on a bridge. Looks more in game than the other shots.
